Knight Rider made a huge impact when it blasted onto television in 1982 and ran for four seasons until 1985. It is one of the most famous shows from the 80's and is still popular with audiences today. Now, Knight Rider is coming back with a new movie, a new series and now, a mod for one of todays biggest games, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

A year in review, 2008 may be done and dusted but the ModDB Crew still need to get in one last word. Grab a coffee this might take a while!

Posted by on

2008 a year in review... Some new faces on the ModDB Staff helped to kick up a media storm, with Ryan and I taking over the editorial side of things leaving Scott and Mark to work behind the scenes. Both have done amazing things for the site including launching a new forum, detailed statistics, new video/audio/image support, HD and Levelling with many more secret projects being worked on as we speak. With a focus on the things that matter (mods) the staff were able to come up with some amazing content and features like the Spotlight, Developer Banter, Reviews, Previews, Interviews and even the Modcast and all of its experiments (MCL) throughout the year to help put the focus back on the teams that make the epic mods you all hold so close to your hearts. The year of Mod and Indie love is now over but we still keep the lessons we learned and the memories we made *sobs quietly*. So as a celebration of everything listed above here is the last Modcast of 2008, a 2 hour episode chocked full of puns, plugs, news and jokes that isn't suitable for mums to listen to. Enjoy my fellow modders and we will see you all next year!

Great modcast, long as hell but it's nice to run in the backround while browsing the net. Has been a great year for modding, can't wait for the next one.

Thanks for mentioning X-Mas WoP mod. Actually the new game type in there is the good old and well known freezetag. You can play the mod at 62.75.222.123:27975.

Awesome, truly. It's great you guys take the time out for these podcasts, I don't really follow them but this was an enjoyable listen, got me exposed to quite a number of mods and games too. Also, in favour of a moddb mods server!

They discuss recently released mods. Zombie master was mentioned the month when they released their latest patch.

Thanks for talking about Smashball. To clarify the situation with Empires, I turned development of Empires over to members of the community after 2.1 was released, but I'm still keeping a watchful eye on their work. I got tired of working on it after 5 years (started in January 2003 on the BF1942 version).

Haha I remember playing the BF42 version, was buggy as hell but something really fresh and different. Now Smashball, really fresh and different too, haven't got to play it much though, there aren't many players on the servers.

Just want to clear out that obsidian conflict is not made by the same people who did synergy, and its not simply "the same crap again", we mainly focus on custom maps by giving the mapper a lot of possibilities.
