First Strike is a Star Wars total conversion modification for Battlefield 2142. The goal of First Strike is to totally immerse the players into the amazing universe of Star Wars by presenting the most accurate representations of famous Star Wars locales, weapons, and characters, and combining them with exciting, fast paced gameplay and features new to the Battlefield scene. Within this mod you'll find yourself as a soldier of the Galactic Empire or as a freedom fighter for the Rebel Alliance. You'll fight across lovingly detailed recreations of various Star Wars locations with a wide array of weapons and vehicles.

Today here at First Strike, we've got a new little gem to get your mouths watering. We're introducing the All Terrain Personal Transport, the AT-PT for short. It's smaller in size when compared to it's newer brethren, the AT-ST, standing at a mere 3.8 meters tall, but this loss in height makes it a fast and agile vessel. Equipped with a powerful twin blaster cannon, a concussion grenade launcher, and moderate armor, the AT-PT is a infantry hunting machine. Get a pack of them on your tail, and your squad is as good as gone.
The AT-PT also is equipped with a unique ability to stretch out to its full height of 6 meters, allowing it to peer over buildings and walls where the AT-ST could never tread. There is no hiding from this deadly machine. Be prepared to see more of this beast on the battlefield this summer.

i would like to thank this crew for really f#&kn my battlefield 2142 because now ever time i try to play ether first strike or normal 2142 i cant see a funkn thing please fix this if you want more details email me coz im pretty pissed or message me
its almost like an overlay over my screen i can see the soldier setup ok just the gameplay

We'll release the Hoth map all in good time. It is a massive undertaking that is inching ever closer to completion even as we speak. Watch this space.
?dose this have bots?
Yes, the latest version of the full mod has bot support on the Battle of Yavin map, so you have bots controling heavy numbers of starfighters etc. There is no bot support as yet in the full mod for ground maps.
But there is a mini mod with bot support for most maps, which can be downloaded here:

Check out the latest additions to First Strike automatically via the launcher, Battle of Yavin has just become the first map in the mod proper to receive bot support. So get on line now and experience dogfights above the endless surface of the Death Star with a starlit sky thick with Rebel and Imperial starfighters.

Does anyone still play this? I reinstall bf2142 and this mod last month and saw about 5 servers and only 2 of them had any players in them,I think about 15-20 players in all and the servers were kinda far away so my ping was horrible. . Is it worth the download? reason I ask is, I just have a 80 gig hard drive and am limited to but a 4 or 5 games.
I think it is, you want to be on Saturday and Sunday because that is when people are on.
