Patch 1.12
Dec 28, 2009 Patch 0 commentsThe patch for version 1.12, if you have Warlord previously installed, install this on top of it!
In IRON GRIP: WARLORD, the first commercial game from Isotx, the player plays as an Atelian warrior from Warlord Sahrab's army. The nomadic state of Atelia is being invaded by the imperialistic Confederation and everything from their religion to their independence is being threatened. Due to its own internal weakness and fractured city-states, Atelia has struggled and largely failed to fight the movement. It is now up to you and a close-knit of rebels--either AI controlled or fellow players--to repel the invader and save Atelia.
As a Warlord, you must use all of your skill to defend the city against the Confederate attacks. In an innovative blend of RTS and FPS gameplay, you will employ urban guerrilla tactics to fight off the hordes of soldiers. You must protect your city at all costs, by building defense structures, setting traps, and taking the enemy on yourself.
Based on the Quake 3 engine, this project is the latest offering in the Iron Grip Universe.

Today, ISOTX announced the completion of the advanced graphics upgrade for its strategy based 3D browser game, Iron Grip: Marauders. The most important improvements include in-game camera enhancements as well as a full upgrade of the Unity 3D engine.
The Game
Iron Grip: Marauders is the first online strategy game to deliver full 3D graphics directly in your browser. Thanks to a unique integration with Unity software, it is able to combine advanced strategic planning together with 3D tactical battles in a turn-based format.
Camera
The camera angles inside the game have been changed from an isometric point of view to a perspective camera. A zoom function has been included to allow closer inspection of units and structures. These alterations were made largely in response to player requests to highlight the game's 3D capabilities more.
Unity Upgrade
At the same time, the Unity engine software has been upgraded from version 2.7 to 3.0. This development increases the stability of the game in the browser as well as paving the way for more sophisticated graphical features. Improvements such as highly detailed terrain maps, light effects and more will now be easier to realize. The aforementioned features are scheduled to be introduced at some point in the coming months.
