Warzone 2100 is a real-time action and strategy game set on earth in the 21st century. Upon entering the postnuclear world of Warzone 2100, you establish your base. Here you conduct research, design and manufacture vehicles, build new structures, and prepare your plans of global conquest.
Each campaign features a large campaign map and six or more sub-maps. As key objectives are reached on the campaign map, missions are activated on the sub-maps. These missions are varied and feature everything from hit-and-run attacks to holding territory.
The combat is fast and frantic with amazing effects and a true 3-D world with rotatable and zoomable cameras. Weapons range from bullets and lasers to explosive weapons that blast large areas of the highly detailed 3-D battlefield.

Version 2.1 beta 5 released
Ladies and Gentlemen,
We would like to introduce you to our latest release: Warzone 2100 2.1 beta 5.
This release doesn't bring anything really new, except for the usual bug fixes, and the addition of a mod. This is mainly due to the fact that 2.1 is currently approaching super stableness.
With beta 5 we bring you:
- the New Team War (NTW) mod by Delphino got included.
- Healthy droids should no longer smoke (bad for your health...).
- Reordering of the main menu: Skirmish is now moved to Single Player where it belongs.
- Fix the path finding of droids, which got broken in beta 4.
We also have several (other) bug fixes. For the full list of changes, see the change log.
Known Issues
The known issues from beta 4 remain. In addition to these issues, due to the way how beta 4 broke path finding, save games made with beta 4 can not be loaded by beta 5 and any subsequent 2.1 releases. Note, however, that the current development trunk (which will become 2.2 eventually) is still capable of loading save games from both 2.1 beta 4 and 2.1 beta 5.
The full list of known issues:
- Save games from the 2.0 series can not be loaded with this version. (NOTE: We do not intend to "fix" this, as we are breaking compatibility with the previous save game format.)
- The multi player code has been improved since beta 2, but running out of sync is still possible.
- The game in general still aborts a lot in debug builds due to failed assertions.
- Save games from 2.1 beta 4 (that, and only that version), can not be loaded with this version. (NOTE: We cannot fix this because the beta 4 save games miss information we need.)

I used to have the demo of this game for PS1 and LOVED IT!:D:D funny enough I was thinking about it not too long ago. AND ITS FREE!!! :D:D

but the servers are gone? right? i tried plating multiplayer but nothing happened. also there is a bug that if you zoom to max on some units on some maps it crashes.

earth 2160,s a good game but its not free!!!!!!!!!
this is one of the best strategy games ever if pumkin was never shut down im shure it would of competed with command and conquer
Earth 2150 is almost exactly like this game, only larger in scale. Its for PC, and has 3 different races to play as all with special abilities, full 3D environment, and you make your vehicles just like this. Earth 2150 has slightly better graphics, and many more units to choose from as well as WMD's. BTW it was released in 2000. If you want a game JUST like this, only with 10x better graphics...check out Earth 2160...http://earth2160.midway.com/ it has truely AMAZING graphics for a RTS, and you still build vehicles ect..note that these two games are much more computer intense than WZ, so you need a pretty good rig..ESPICIALLY for Earth 2160. Sorry for the rant...this game just reminds me of those two, which are great games themselves, but little people seem to know they exist, just trying to get the word out. :-)
