C&C: ShockWave is an enhancement mod for C&C Generals: Zero Hour.

The main goal of this mod is to make Zero Hour a more interesting game with more diversity between the generals, making you think twice before you select a certain general, and overall provide more choices, diversity, and strategic freedom than in Zero Hour - while keeping the spirit and design direction of the original Generals game and storyline.

ShockWave will include 3 new Generals in version 0.95, over 100 new units, tons of new structures, upgrades, maps and many other gameplay tweaks. ShockWave also provides completely custom made sound effects and music, new in-game weapon effects and visuals, bug fixes, and an improved battlefield overview with a higher viewpoint.

The 3 new generals - Deathstrike, Ironside and Leang will get their own general's challenge maps, and we will implement their voices, taunts and personality as EA intended sometime after version 1.1.

ShockWave runs closed and open beta versions, and we strive to preserve balance between all the different factions to make sure the game is equally enjoyable online and offline. Bug hunting is top priority for us as well, and ShockWave is one of the most stable mods out for Zero Hour. Even so, Shockwave 1.0 has just been released, and could still have some bugs that need working out.

Please don't ask for the release date, or even an estimate, as there is never a release date.

NOTE: Get support at the offsite forums instead. Before you ask, remember this: try a clean install first. (make sure you delete the folder are the uninstall)
- The install order is for the latest version is: Gen. > ZH > ZH 1.04 patch > Shw 1.1
* If you're using The First Decade, you need not install the 1.04 patch as TFD comes with it.

We have heard your complaints. We saw the bugs, the crashes, the despair of those who couldn't play the Generals' Challenges. And now, we have a fix.

First in the list of fulfilling our promise of keeping ShockWave maintained, 1.201 has been released. The changelog and download was posted on our forums here: Forums.swr-productions.com

If you have not downloaded 1.2 yet, a fixed version has been released on all mirrors which fully incorporates 1.201's fixes, so you will not need to download this patch. You can download that on our website and on Moddb.

How do I play online with this mod? I've installed the multiplayer aspect of this game like normal an got everything all the patches and all that good stuff still nothing appears to happen when I go onto multiplayer. Do I need Hamachi? I saw videos on YouTube people playing with the swr network I cant get any other players to show up or games to show up. Please help.

Hi, today I played this MOD for the first time... Has the AI been altered at all? As the AI doesn't seem too difficult - even on Hard. Also, the computer doesn't seem to attempt to invest in buildings / units that create further income.

This means that once initial resources have been used, the computer AI becomes stagnant and deteriorates.

Where are they exactly found? there are some of Leang in the Boss Challenge but i would like to have the other quotes!
I do know where to find em in SW, but they must be already in ZH?

How do you create a Generals Challenge mission? I've been working on one for another mod and the game just crashed when it tries to load it. What needs to be done differently than a Skirmish map?

You need to make sure you have the models w3d and ini to make sure it will work otherwise it will crash. Ive been trying to integrate infantry general challenge in shockwave and I made it to work because ive extracted the zh verson of its models and ini. Well im currently waiting for a reply for shockwave verson of worldbuilder so I can script the shockwave version.

Thanks, I'll have to look into it. It's weird - I can load the map and play it as a skirmish map, but when I put it in the campaign.ini as the first Generals Challenge mission for the Air Force general, it blows up while loading. No log files are produced saying why.

Don't mock me.

On Easy, he behaves like an AI on Hard, and therefore blocks my progress.

I once beat him with Leang, but once his scuds became immune to anti-air, I couldn't even beat him with her.

Its AI hasn't been changed. Mizo, who did the AI for Rise to the Reds, plans to revamp it once 1.87 is released

One thing I loved and dearly missed about Fai, the infantry general, was that his bunkers housed 10 men instead of the regular 5.

Also, the construction dozers of General Ironside have an open spot for construction, so why not add a fortification that can house infantry. I greatly prefer base defenses that require infantry over electricity, and Ironside has none, unlike all other US generals.
