C&C: ShockWave is an enhancement mod for C&C Generals: Zero Hour.

The main goal of this mod is to make Zero Hour a more interesting game with more diversity between the generals, making you think twice before you select a certain general, and overall provide more choices, diversity, and strategic freedom than in Zero Hour - while keeping the spirit and design direction of the original Generals game and storyline.

ShockWave will include 3 new Generals in version 0.95, over 100 new units, tons of new structures, upgrades, maps and many other gameplay tweaks. ShockWave also provides completely custom made sound effects and music, new in-game weapon effects and visuals, bug fixes, and an improved battlefield overview with a higher viewpoint.

The 3 new generals - Deathstrike, Ironside and Leang will get their own general's challenge maps, and we will implement their voices, taunts and personality as EA intended sometime after version 1.1.

ShockWave runs closed and open beta versions, and we strive to preserve balance between all the different factions to make sure the game is equally enjoyable online and offline. Bug hunting is top priority for us as well, and ShockWave is one of the most stable mods out for Zero Hour. Even so, Shockwave 1.0 has just been released, and could still have some bugs that need working out.

Please don't ask for the release date, or even an estimate, as there is never a release date.

NOTE: Get support at the offsite forums instead. Before you ask, remember this: try a clean install first. (make sure you delete the folder are the uninstall)
- The install order is for the latest version is: Gen. > ZH > ZH 1.04 patch > Shw 1.1
* If you're using The First Decade, you need not install the 1.04 patch as TFD comes with it.

We have heard your complaints. We saw the bugs, the crashes, the despair of those who couldn't play the Generals' Challenges. And now, we have a fix.

First in the list of fulfilling our promise of keeping ShockWave maintained, 1.201 has been released. The changelog and download was posted on our forums here: Forums.swr-productions.com

If you have not downloaded 1.2 yet, a fixed version has been released on all mirrors which fully incorporates 1.201's fixes, so you will not need to download this patch. You can download that on our website and on Moddb.

I also wonder if there could be a way to custom pick which general you wanted to challenge?

Like, I would like to pick my general, choose a difficulty, and then pick a specific general to challenge against, in his native map, WITHOUT having to fight through other generals, (let alone on that same difficulty), to get to him.

I gotta thank the makers of this awesome mod for the hilarious movie references, i.e., the Combat Chinook's Valkyrie music, and the MiG 31 Firefox.

Problem: “Unit Lost” gets announced whenever the music stops.
Also, it's sad that unlike Clint Eastwood's Firefox, the Phoenix jet can't launch it's missiles at other airborne targets, and despite having the same speed as the Aurora, AA weapons can still attack it. The Firefox could also outrun missiles.

For some reason, the Tiger helicopter (anonymous China) and the Pyro infantry (Leang) talk in Japanese accents rather than Chinese.

ShockWave has very few custom voices. The only ones I am aware of are the Reaper Tank and the Recoilless Rifleman.
The units you mentioned were probably borrowed from Red Alert 3.

Hopefully, there will be a new patch one day, and if so;
PLEASE,

1.) Please make the "Easy difficulty" apply to ALL generals in the Challenge, because, for some reason, the GLA Demo General is unbelievably hard. All other generals give me several minutes to prepare myself, but with Juhziz, I am under attack in a whopping 15 seconds. I am not a fast player, hence why I choose Easy Level. Making his SCUDs indestructible only made me hate him more. Please undo that as well. Double the health of those rockets, but DON'T make them indestructible.

I literally can't get past Juhziz as a result.

2.) Please find a way to make the "anonymous generals" available in the Challenge. I would LOVE to test out the exo-suits and the mini-birds in various places in the Challenge. The anonymous GLA general also has a few unique units I would like to try out.

3.) Change Deathstrike's picture to match what he had in the Zero Hour campaign. He actually looked like a general from a third-world country, whereas what you guys put in looks silly.

4.) Is it possible for you guys to make a "prize general" who has the units from all generals of the same nationality? I think the Airfields for example have more than enough space to house all the various kinds of aircraft that any one nationality has.

5.) I don't suppose it's possible to somehow re-master the campaigns from both Generals and Zero Hour, and release them with the shockwave units and equipment?

1) ShockWave development is suspended for now. Mizo (the guy who did the AI for Rise of the Reds 1.87) is planning to look at ShW AI. No more details on this.

4) No. There are already too many generals (makes Gentool crash if you upload your replays) Plus there is no way to balance such a thing

We don't need the "announcer" to say, "versus General so & so. You could just give us a loading screen that then leads us into the next Challenge mission.

The anonymous generals have too many cool, unique units to want to try them out on the unique maps that the Challengers live on.

P.S. Speaking of which, why does Juhziz have a map, but not Fai?

If I'm correct, Juhziz's map was in the original files and the team made it playable. Not 100% sure. Fai on the other hand has no map.

No, because they are too generic. The generals have strong specialties, and strong weaknesses. Generic factions are jacks of all trades.
