C&C: ShockWave is an enhancement mod for C&C Generals: Zero Hour.

The main goal of this mod is to make Zero Hour a more interesting game with more diversity between the generals, making you think twice before you select a certain general, and overall provide more choices, diversity, and strategic freedom than in Zero Hour - while keeping the spirit and design direction of the original Generals game and storyline.
ShockWave will include 3 new Generals in version 0.95, over 100 new units, tons of new structures, upgrades and maps, a fully working navy, and many other gameplay tweaks. ShockWave also provides completely custom made sound effects and music, new in-game weapon effects and visuals, bug fixes, and an improved battlefield overview with a higher viewpoint.

The 3 new generals - Deathstrike, Ironside and Leang will get their own general's challenge maps, and we will implement their voices, taunts and personality as EA intended. Part of ShockWave's intent is to clean up EA's rushed release job and let people enjoy the game the way it was meant to be.

The Navy will be added in version 1.0, however that's only accessable on special Navy-compatable maps, because you can't have a Battleship in a pond. There is currently no AI for the three new generals, but they will be added eventually. The next version  ,v. 0.952, is mainly a balance patch, and will fix some of the balance and redundancy issues with 0.951 (as that version was mainly a bug patch). It will also well as add some units and fix some bugs. Version 0.952 will NOT have AI for the new generals; the new general's AI will most likely be in the next major release.

ShockWave runs closed and open beta versions, and we strive to preserve balance between all the different factions to make sure the game is equally enjoyable online and offline. Bug hunting is top priority for us, and ShockWave is one of the most stable mods out for Zero Hour. Even so, Shockwave is still a Beta, and there are bound to be bugs we haven't fonud yet.

Please Don't ask for the release date, or even an estimate, as there is never a release date.

NOTE: Currently most of our team is working on another mod, Rise of the Reds, consequently there will be a lot less media updates. But rest assured, Shockwave is not dead. (It's just hibernating :P )

NOTE: If you ask any tech support questions in the comment box, they will be deleted. Get support at the offsite forums instead. Before you ask, remember this: try a clean install first.
- The install order is for the latest version is:   Gen.  >  ZH  >  ZH 1.04 patch  >  SW v0.95  >  SW v.0951 patch

As you may know, the .95 patch was supposed to be released mid-Feb. However, we've encountered a single resilient crash-inducing bug, and have been hard at work fixing it. As soon as the bug is fixed, the Patch shall be released. Until then, enjoy this update.

First off we have General Fai's new Gattling APC. This new unit will be replacing the Road Grinder in general Fai's arsenal. The Gat APC will be faster than a Gattling tank, and have more armor than the Road Grinder. It's inf capacity however has been reduced to 2 and it the passengers can no longer fire out. However, with Fai's beastly infantry, you can still fill a few of these up, drop them off on the frontline speedily, and watch the enemy get obliterated by Fai's inf.

The Mortar Hummvee's AA gun upgrade was added due to General Alexander's surprising lack of early-game mobile AA. The Hummer will be build with the Mortar by default, then you can purchase AA, which replaces the Mortar. The Vulcan gun fires bursts of deadly bullets that are very effective vs air and fairly good vs infantry as well. Now you can have a balanced early game rush with mortar hummers alone.

That's it for now, sorry for the delay, but it's just one fairly annoying bug that guarantees a crash if a specific unit is built. But we're on it, it shall be fixed soon and then the release will be imminent.

I like so much this mod, I buy the Zero Hour expansion only to have this mod! Is great! And now, the generals have more diferences from the normal countries! When your team will fix the new generals problem? On version o.952 or 0.96 or 1.o?

Well, from the limited information I know, it's definately not 0.952. As for ther others, I don't know, since work on SW has basically stopped until Rise of the Reds is released.

Great mod, just that i cant wait for the full release comes out. When i played this it was a bit unfair for the gla in my opinion. I played a 8 player ffa map and all the gla got their butts kicked. But i may be wrong gla got some pretty cool stuff. Great mod, and cheers for the full realease, when it comes out :3

Yes

You shouldn't install two mods on the same copy of Generals. Our Mods are designed to be compatable with each other and be easy to install and remove. Some mods aren't.

Although there are rare cases that the mods are compatable with each other (Cold War Crisis and Shockwave can be installed at the same time) but for the most part just install one at a time. (unless you KNOW they're compatable)
