C&C: ShockWave is an enhancement mod for C&C Generals: Zero Hour.
The main goal of this mod is to make Zero Hour a more interesting game with more diversity between the generals, making you think twice before you select a certain general, and overall provide more choices, diversity, and strategic freedom than in Zero Hour - while keeping the spirit and design direction of the original Generals game and storyline.
ShockWave will include 3 new Generals in version 0.95, over 100 new units, tons of new structures, upgrades, maps and many other gameplay tweaks. ShockWave also provides completely custom made sound effects and music, new in-game weapon effects and visuals, bug fixes, and an improved battlefield overview with a higher viewpoint.
The 3 new generals - Deathstrike, Ironside and Leang will get their own general's challenge maps, and we will implement their voices, taunts and personality as EA intended sometime after version 1.1.
ShockWave runs closed and open beta versions, and we strive to preserve balance between all the different factions to make sure the game is equally enjoyable online and offline. Bug hunting is top priority for us as well, and ShockWave is one of the most stable mods out for Zero Hour. Even so, Shockwave 1.0 has just been released, and could still have some bugs that need working out.

NOTE: Get support at the offsite forums instead. Before you ask, remember this: try a clean install first. (make sure you delete the folder are the uninstall)
- The install order is for the latest version is: Gen. > ZH > ZH 1.04 patch > Shw 1.1
* If you're using The First Decade, you need not install the 1.04 patch as TFD comes with it.

If you have not downloaded 1.2 yet, a fixed version has been released on all mirrors which fully incorporates 1.201's fixes, so you will not need to download this patch. You can download that on our website and on Moddb.

if i recall correctly i read someone saying that AI would be improve or maybe im just wrong, but i hope that its true,
such a shame if this mod over, back then i’d play this game countless hour just to relive nostalgic moments still love this mod though, btw is there a discord on this mod?
How to install the old map from version 0.95 to the newest version? I download shwmappack from the addons page but some older map like Bloodmatch Stadium II didnt appear in the game.
As much as i love challenge mode there's a huge issue with the lack of starting funds and the aggressiveness of A.I. Especially on hard difficulty. $10k is barely enough to make it while the A.I constantly hammers you with their tech building units before you even get tech building units yourself. If you're in a bad matchup (like any GLA general against Thrax) It just feels impossible to catch moment to rebuild or attack. Also some generals don't get oil derrick and other capturable buildings on some maps. Example Toxin vs Laser, the oil derrick that's right above your starting position isn't there.

Demo-General is WAY TOO HARD on Easy.
I beat him on medium with numerous generals, the trick is to have fast attack units for the topl launchers, and you need to be constantly taking out his demo traps so you can have an easier time getting to his base. GLA generals cheese him as all you need to do is drop a sneak attack next to his scud storm, deploy some good forces out of it while keeping a repair power on standby incase they take serious damage and raze that base from there. Defense wise you want some units who'll act as bait for the biker terrorists and bomb trucks. These 2 ontop of topl launchers and rocket buggies are the only real threat from him which are easily countered.
All other Generals give me several minutes to build a base and prepare on Easy, and even then, limit what they throw at me, as I enjoy taking my time, building a lovely base.
With the Demo General, I am under attack in literally only 15 seconds.

Topols missiles cannot be intercepted, since version 1.2
nuclear general is not using his nuke missile when playing on skirmish
theres a hotfix in addon that nuke general can use nuke missile
yes that is a mistake, I hope there will be a final update, where this bug will be fix and where you will be able to fight general Fai, Ironside and Deathstrike in Challenge mode :l
