C&C: ShockWave is an enhancement mod for C&C Generals: Zero Hour.

The main goal of this mod is to make Zero Hour a more interesting game with more diversity between the generals, making you think twice before you select a certain general, and overall provide more choices, diversity, and strategic freedom than in Zero Hour - while keeping the spirit and design direction of the original Generals game and storyline.

ShockWave will include 3 new Generals in version 0.95, over 100 new units, tons of new structures, upgrades, maps and many other gameplay tweaks. ShockWave also provides completely custom made sound effects and music, new in-game weapon effects and visuals, bug fixes, and an improved battlefield overview with a higher viewpoint.

The 3 new generals - Deathstrike, Ironside and Leang will get their own general's challenge maps, and we will implement their voices, taunts and personality as EA intended sometime after version 1.1.

ShockWave runs closed and open beta versions, and we strive to preserve balance between all the different factions to make sure the game is equally enjoyable online and offline. Bug hunting is top priority for us as well, and ShockWave is one of the most stable mods out for Zero Hour. Even so, Shockwave 1.0 has just been released, and could still have some bugs that need working out.

NOTE: Get support at the offsite forums instead. Before you ask, remember this: try a clean install first. (make sure you delete the folder are the uninstall)
- The install order is for the latest version is: Gen. > ZH > ZH 1.04 patch > Shw 1.1
* If you're using The First Decade, you need not install the 1.04 patch as TFD comes with it.

We have heard your complaints. We saw the bugs, the crashes, the despair of those who couldn't play the Generals' Challenges. And now, we have a fix.

First in the list of fulfilling our promise of keeping ShockWave maintained, 1.201 has been released. The changelog and download was posted on our forums here: Forums.swr-productions.com

If you have not downloaded 1.2 yet, a fixed version has been released on all mirrors which fully incorporates 1.201's fixes, so you will not need to download this patch. You can download that on our website and on Moddb.

ok, I love this mod but GODAMN is Dr Thrax on Hard playing as Kassad a pain in the ***. Tho the first few waves are relatively easy, You really only have 3 defence options and your best one is UNVIABLE because he can send toxin tractors and still screw you up and kill your troops. Also, the AI is stupid and decides to attack the bunkers that violently explode and suppress your defences. Even worse, he than decides to send in artillery like his unique scud launcher and rocket buggies. Worst yet, he also spams these a lot.

I've tried mostly everything, GPS scrambler on cobras and quad snipers, utilizing the stealth heavy RPG troopers, jarmen kell, the Frog launcher and rocket buggies to counter, taking out the defences before the bridge, ambushes, cash bounties, putting palace up front and storing rocket troopers, upgrading everything, capturing oil derricks, destroying the building that makes things cheaper, clearing out bunkers to not hassle with it. NOTHING! the artillery will just keep coming and it feels unfair. I get its hard, but Tao was hard and I still pushed. the rocket buggies will always kill you no matter what, the AI for the rocket troopers dont shoot the damn missiles when being fired at. I don't know, and I would assume Juhziz wouldn't be any different.

i remember the ai can detect unit without using radar scan. this mod has fixed it yet

Generals Challenge on Medium versing Granger is impossible

His air attacks are so relentless, it doesn't matter how many you shoot down or how many defences you can build in the time you have he tears through it remorselessly with paradrops in the backline (easy to counter when you know its coming) and just endless endless endless waves of F22s and B1s

I can't pump out dozers fast enough to keep building AA and his generals powers, B2s and A10s wipe out my econ

Spamming Avengers doesn't work because they're fragile and expensive and my starting buildup is just whittled down.

Easy is way too easy and this medium is impossible

GET ANTI AIR IN THE VILLAGE AND PLACE THEM BEHIND BUILDINGS, BUILD IN A SPOT WHERE HIS CARPET BOMB DO MINIMAL DMG. I HAVE BEATEN HIM WITH ALMOST EVERY GENERAL ON MEDIUM.

Due to the numerous borderline unsolvable problems that arises with playing Generals in full screen I prefer to play in windowed mode moving the camera with the arrow keys. To disallow origin users to play this mod in windowed mode is just dumb. Especially since it wasn't that way on older version. How about you just add it back in?

are there going to be more updates in the future or is this the Final update?

i had saved games on version 1.1 of this mod and had to delete them now that there is a new version

i don't want to replay what i saved a third time so any comment as to
will there EVER be another update will be highly appreciated.

other then that Love the mod and if it isnt finished keep it up (:
