C&C: ShockWave is an enhancement mod for C&C Generals: Zero Hour.
The main goal of this mod is to make Zero Hour a more interesting game with more diversity between the generals, making you think twice before you select a certain general, and overall provide more choices, diversity, and strategic freedom than in Zero Hour - while keeping the spirit and design direction of the original Generals game and storyline.
ShockWave will include 3 new Generals in version 0.95, over 100 new units, tons of new structures, upgrades and maps, a fully working navy, and many other gameplay tweaks. ShockWave also provides completely custom made sound effects and music, new in-game weapon effects and visuals, bug fixes, and an improved battlefield overview with a higher viewpoint.
The 3 new generals - Deathstrike, Ironside and Leang will get their own general's challenge maps, and we will implement their voices, taunts and personality as EA intended. Part of ShockWave's intent is to clean up EA's rushed release job and let people enjoy the game the way it was meant to be. The Navy will be added in version 1.0, however that's only accessable on special Navy-compatable maps, because you can't have a Battleship in a pond. There is currently no AI for the three new generals, but they will be added eventually.
The next release will be version 0.96; as version 0.952 has been larger than expected and thus will has been renamed 0.96 and will be a full release instead of a patch. The next version will fix some of the balance and redundancy issues with 0.951. It will also well as add some new units and fix some bugs. Whether the new AI will be added in the next release has yet to be determined, but work is being done for the AI for the new generals as well as fixes to the old ones.
ShockWave runs closed and open beta versions, and we strive to preserve balance between all the different factions to make sure the game is equally enjoyable online and offline. Bug hunting is top priority for us, and ShockWave is one of the most stable mods out for Zero Hour. Even so, Shockwave is still a Beta, and there are bound to be bugs we haven't fonud yet.

Drop by our highly active forums to get tech support and have a matchup with other ShockWave fans online! (The Ideas and Suggestions forum has been closed as future content is solidifying and suggestions are no longer necessary).
Please Don't ask for the release date, or even an estimate, as there is never a release date.
NOTE: Currently most of our team is working on another mod, Rise of the Reds, consequently there will be a lot less media updates. Work on Shockwave has resumed to a small degree though.
NOTE: If you ask any tech support questions in the comment box, they will be deleted. Get support at the offsite forums instead. Before you ask, remember this: try a clean install first. (make sure there aren't any files left behind after the uninstall)
- The install order is for the latest version is: Gen. > ZH > ZH 1.04 patch > SW v0.95 > SW v.0951 patch
* If your using The First Decade, you need not install the 1.04 patch as TFD comes with it.

Hello shockwave Fanatics.
As of today we have a new part of our team which is the ShockWave balance team. This balance team will be lead by ReLaX a well know ZH Clan player from Gamereplays.org. ReLaX is also part of the team that designed community patch for zerohour.
We all expect great things to come from him and his balance team but he still requires help in form additional players to join his effort of balance testing.
If you want to become part of the balance team please apply in this forum to join the balance team. All applications should be done before 26th January GMT 16:00.
(note: that becoming part of the balance team does not mean you will get the same previlages as ShockWave Beta testers as you will simply test the public versions of shockwave for balance.)
You will need:
Currently in need of experienced China players.
You need to have Flash and Javascript running in your browser to see this player.

A new upgrade for tower defense, this map is much better than the old. If you need a "HOW TO PLAY" guide, you will find it in my profile in the blog section....
Adds classic Red Alert text style to the icons in-game which adds that nostalgic visual flare to SW. This add-on is easy to instal and doesn't cause online...

It's much better if you have finished first doing this mod... before doing another mod...
We've been doing this mod for a while. People get tired of doing the same things for long periods of time, so we started a new project.
But truth be told, Shockwave is nearly complete, once we finish fixing up the campaigns, add AI and new gen challenges for the new gens, add navy and navy-specific maps, add the last bit of planned units, and smooth all that stuff out. We're gonna stamp 'complete' on this project and move on.
Wow! Thats great, i was kinda worried that this mod will not be finished.. Thats great news^^
Shockwave is great but i gotta bug-everytime i quit a skirmish game without actually winning/losing it shus down Shockwave. Is another update gonna come out and fix that?
they always piss me off lol...... not really
Oh my god. This is honestly what C&C Generals Zero Hour Should've been/
Question though , What program do you use to animate and Make the models?
XSI? 3DSmax?
3DS max works, and is great. But G-max is free. We use both, depends on whether you can pay for or 'obtain' 3DS Max.
Although ultimately it doesn't really matter; you could use Maya if you wanted to, as long as you convert the file into w3d later on it's fine.
Since you said that the next patch will be mainly a balance patch, does that mean that the mortar soldier for the Chinese will be more balanced out?
There's a few little tweaks for the siege soldier.
Cool
