Installation Instructions:

1. Delete the codex folder and the code.module file in your Soulstorm directory.
2. Download both parts 1 and 2 of the Codex Base Code.
3. Extract both parts to your SS directory.
4. Download and extract Codex 3.5 to your Soulstorm directory.

5. Select “Dawn of War: Codex (3.5)” from the Game Manager.
 

There is a combiner module file for using in conjunction with the Tyranids (vs 0.51b) and the Black Templars (beta 5) mods included in the extracted folder,
but you will NEED these 2 great mods installed separately.

NOTE: The new races are not the same as other independently released versions, just to avoid confusion. These are the Codex versions, developed separately.

Hey everyone,

Just thought everyone deserved to know what's going on with the mod, since we've been rather quiet lately.

Unfortunately, about a month or two back, boothy had an accident, hence his inactiveness. Fortunately, he's made good recovery, and will return to work when ready. This should be relatively soon, but nothing is guaranteed.

Furthermore, deathwatch, our texturer, is having real life issues (the bane of modders). Therefore, we're unsure as to when he'll be back, but we doubt it will be any time soon.

Thanks very much of the continued suggestions (we'll get to work on them ASAP) and patience,

It looks as if there may be problems with the German locale folder, but also with other files. In addition, the second paragraph of the module file looks a bit strange, it should be:

I guess you could try copying and pasting the text above and see if that works. Does Codex work without Tyranids?

Yes, when i have try to play without Tynadids mob all was ok, after the tyranids installation i immediatly take a sync error after starting the replay of a skirmish game against computer (not multyplayer).

How strange, I'm afraid all I can suggest is a full reinstall of all the mods involved.
1. Download and extract Codex Parts 1 and 2, followed by 3.5.
2. Download and extract the Objective Points ( Mediafire.com )
3. Download and extract the Tyranids mod.
4. Add the Tyranids mod to the codex_3_52.module.

Hope this works.

Hi all and sorry for my bad english, i have a problem with Tyranids mod with Codex, when i install it i always have a sync error after i finish a skirmish game and i try to see the replay.
This is the only problem i have cause i always play the skirmish games without problems, only when i try to see the replay i take the Sync error.

Okay, I installed the two base sections, 3.5, then the Advanced AI and Objective Points mods. After that I installed BT and Tyranids...and it's working! Thank you so much! I always used to enjoy Codex and now I'm glad to be able to add Tyranids to the mix.

One last question though; using that module/.ini method, can I add in other racial mods like say, the Vostroyans (Not one of choice but still one of the most prominent racial mods)?

That's OK, I'm glad it works!

You can indeed, as long as they don't affect the gameplay; I play with BT, Tyranids, Inquisition Daemohunters and Steel Legion. Just make sure that the W40K and DXP2 are at the bottom of the list when you add more. :)
