Installation Instructions:

1. Download both parts 1, 2, and 3 of the Codex Base Code.
2. Extract all 3 parts to your SS directory (see tutorial - Moddb.com).
3. Download and extract Codex 4.0 to your Soulstorm directory.
4. Select “Dawn of War: Codex (4.0)” from the Game Manager.

There is a combiner module file for using in conjunction with the Tyranids (vs 0.51b) and the Black Templars (beta 5) mods included in the extracted folder,
but you will NEED these 2 great mods installed separately.


NOTE: The new races are not the same as other independently released versions, just to avoid confusion. These are the Codex versions, developed separately.

Codex 4.0 Released

Ok, so Codex 4.0 is out! Change log as usual is below:

Added Khorne Daemonkin

Added Inquisition Allies to Ad Mech
Renamed several Ad Mech units

Tau:
New updated Riptide (thanks to Oomperial for allowing into the mod)
Updated the Tau Commander
Added Crisis Bodyguard unit

Added a bunch of Army schemes for Ad Mech, and Daemonkin

Various (lots) of bug fixes and tidying up of Chaos Space Marines
Some other stuff I didn't note down, but have done..............

Have you guys thought of working with the ultimate apocalypse mod they could use some new factions or at least making it compatible? i dont mean to be annoying im just trying to help if i can i have a habit of doing so sometimes.

Hi, the CODEX mod is great - its like an advanced version of vanilla (expansion) But i want to share my opinion about mod I see some insignificant issues and its alot.
The main thing that its wanted to see a return to chaos space marines its ability to summon greater deamon fo at least to 4 marks as it should to be, but with restriction to choose 1 relic unit if it posible to choose from (land raider, plaguereaper, greater demon...) that change does not interfere to chaos demons to stay a unique race and dont replace relic commanders, just a good one addition. Please, it will be very cool!!!
Also about some units: Lychguard are bad, they have poor lifepool and no life regen. chaos terminators are very weak and dont get any bonuses from chaos armory upgrades, even weaker then regular CSM, how can its be (at game lore they are much stronger) i dont remember but word bearers have zealots which couts as aspiring champions and when you upgrade "purge the weak" they gain more then 10000 healh. some units need to add more healh acpecially chaos SM, they are screaming for it, just a little bit bacause part of chaos army dont get benefint from chaos armory and other part was nerfed. I hope new patch version will be someday

Dawn of War: Codex is still breathing since I been away? Good. Boothy, keep it up, just a side note on the unit names, kind of overkill don't you think? All updated race mods work with Codex, except the Blood Angels mod. I tried everything I know to get it to work (although Codex has it's own, but to eaches own), even disabled the Blood Angels army in Codex to see if it was conflicting, but nope, no go. Would of been nice to see your Blood Angels vs SS Blood Angels lol. Any idea on that error though? Anyone else having that issue and is there a fix? Good to hear you're still kicking boothster, keep it up. Cheers dude

Hey, I've noticed you've got a link to my ancient, didn't-get-around-to-properly-update-in-years Soulstorm performance tweaks guide in the mod's summary.
May I bother you to change the RelicNews link to this one? Moddb.com
It's mostly the same info, but remade in a clearer format, and more up to date. Reason I didn't simply copypasta the better version to RelicNews is because ModDB uses a different forum-y tags, and I'm too lazy to track down and fix them all xP

Codex mod is not dead peoples, just bit slow at moment compared to the frenetic pace of last 2 years. "We'llbe back", in force ;)
