Installation Instructions:

1. Delete the codex folder and the code.module file in your Soulstorm directory.
2. Download both parts 1 and 2 of the Codex Base Code.
3. Extract both parts to your SS directory.
4. Download and extract Codex 3.5 to your Soulstorm directory.

5. Select “Dawn of War: Codex (3.5)” from the Game Manager.

There is a combiner module file for using in conjunction with the Tyranids (vs 0.51b) and the Black Templars (beta 5) mods included in the extracted folder,
but you will NEED these 2 great mods installed separately.

NOTE: The new races are not the same as other independently released versions, just to avoid confusion. These are the Codex versions, developed separately.

Hi everyone,

It's been a long time since any news was released, and there has been a good reason for that: frankly, there has not been any.

However, I can now reveal that work has been resumed, although at a slow pace. Deathwatch78 has generously found time in his busy schedule to give some time to modding, and will therefore be working on new eye candy for the next version. This also means anything which did not make it into 3.5 will be in the next version. On the other hand, the gameplay element is still on hold due to the absence of boothy_p.

I'm afraid it's only possible to add race mods; it is not possible to add single units or races from mods which alter the gameplay, unless you create your own mod for private use. If you're willing to go that far, then here's where you'll find how to do so: Forums.relicnews.com

I noticed the text document in the 3.4 patch which mentions about using tyranids and templars mods within this mod. After downloading both the available mods they work fine by themselves but not with this mod. Any suggestions as to how to fix this?

You need to edit the codex_3_5.module file in your Soulstorm install directory. Just open it up with Notepad or something and then

First of all, you should install Advanced AI 3.2 before installing the Black Templars mod... Finally, you need "DPX2" and "W40K" at the bottom of the list, i.e. it should look like this:

RequiredMod.1 = Tyranids
RequiredMod.2 = BTmod
RequiredMod.3 = codex_base
RequiredMod.4 = DXP2
RequiredMod.5 = W40k

This also applies to any other single race mod that you want to install (e.g. Salamanders, Inquisition Daemon Hunters, etc.) Just add it as a required mod lower on the list from BT and Tyranids and change all of the numbers accordingly.

Okay so the mods show up, all of them work on multiplayer apart from the Tyranids mod where the other players get sync errors, do you have any ideas? hah sorry for being awkward :p

Ahh thank you :) I was planning on adding the Inquisition Daemon Hunters but i saw that it was designed for Dark Crusade so there could be balancing issues with it...

It looks as if there may be problems with the German locale folder, but also with other files. In addition, the second paragraph of the module file looks a bit strange, it should be:

DataFolder.4 = Data_Sound\&#xSO;UND-LEVEL%

I guess you could try copying and pasting the text above and see if that works. Does Codex work without Tyranids?

Yes, when i have try to play without Tynadids mob all was ok, after the tyranids installation i immediatly take a sync error after starting the replay of a skirmish game against computer (not multyplayer).

How strange, I'm afraid all I can suggest is a full reinstall of all the mods involved.
1. Download and extract Codex Parts 1 and 2, followed by 3.5.
2. Download and extract the Objective Points ( Mediafire.com )
3. Download and extract the Tyranids mod.
4. Add the Tyranids mod to the codex_3_52.module.

Hope this works.
