New Vision - Version 1.000001 Hotfix
Aug 8, 2011 Patch 7 commentsDeus Ex: New Vision hotfix, version 1.000001. Follow the included instructions to install.
Check you followed all the instructions and have the latest version of DirectX 10 (if you're trying to use the Direct3D 10 renderer) and the Microsoft C++ 2010 package. Remember that to use DirectX 10, you need a compatible graphics card and operating system - if you're unsure, just use OpenGL!
Make sure DeusEx is patched to v1.112fm. If you have the Steam or Game of the Year edition then you're already good to go. If in doubt, load Deus Ex and check the main menu - it will say your version at the bottom right.
If you still need help, post in the comments giving us as much information as you can (operating system, graphics card, what renderer you're using).
We cannot help you without this information!
Deus Ex : New Vision includes Kentie's Direct3D 10 Render and Chis Dohnal's OpenGL renderer. We also recommend using Kentie's Deus Ex Launcher. If you're having problems, consider checking for updates.
For the best experience we recommend HDTP. Remember to install HDTP after New Vision so the modifications to DeusEx.ini carry over.

It's been 4 years in the making, but Deus Ex : New Vision is finally seeing the light of day in it's full form. With around 75% of the world textures remastered at high definition, the project is finally complete - and is available to download right now!

How about a auto-installer? The install vid didn't help much as your system is set-up different to mine. Could you do a more detailed readme text doc?
They only reason I brought this game again is to try this mod.
Found where all the stuff goes NVTextures in C:\DeusEx\ and I drop Chris OpenGL into C:\DeusEx\System and add to the 'default' file Paths=..\NVTextures\*.utx in the same directory.
Ok the game runs on turbo mode now and the characters don't even finish there sentances? What have I done wrong?
Rebooted the PC and the game speed returned back to normal, so no smacking me head off the keyboard in frustration yup.
Great job Dave :)
Blast from the past! Cheers dude.
I can't play online with this installed. It gives an error of mismached textures.
This is a 'known issue', basically you can't do it. The only way around it is to sideload the textures with the Direct X 10 renderer, but I haven't got around to supplying the files in the right way to do that. I may be able to release a multiplayer version soon.
Any new word on the 'map pack' release you spoke of a while back?
Thanks again for this great mod, quite re-ignited my love for this great game!
No new updates I'm afraid, not sure what's going to happen with it (since I can't/don't use UnrealEd)
Yes, two TV textures from CoreTexMisc (the largest package) were misnamed by me. I'll get around to fixing it at some point :)
