If you've been following New Vision on the OTP Forums, you'll know already that the mod is due for release very soon. How soon is hard to tell, as I'm currently compiling packages and making new textures to make the experience as complete as possible without replacing every single texture in the game.
Here are some screen shots showing the progress that has been made:
Again for those not following on the forums, the official plan is to release the texture packs ASAP. After that, a team of mappers will be attempting to enhance the graphical quality of the levels - fixing texture alignment errors and adding additional detail to get the most out of the new textures. Ideally this would be released the same time as our sister mod, HDTP.

I like it when mods like this come out. There's been one for Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, and one for Outcast. Bout time Deus Ex got one.
There are already many for DE, but some are lacking and some are just plainly not finished.
It's pretty spectacular if you know how crap the original textures look, i mean lets face it they aren't a feast for the eyes after 10 years
