The final release of New Vision.
I'd like to sincerely thank everyone in the community for their support over the years; without you, I wouldn't have had the motivation to continue working on this project for 5 years of my life. I'd also like to thank someone else; if you're reading this you know who you are: thank you.
I hope you all enjoy the mod and I wish you all the best.

Exceptional texture mod that adds a significant amount of detail to an already exceptional game. Many thanks to the developers of New Vision for bringing a old gem to new life. In a nutshell, this mod makes everything look better from a world texture standpoint. With the 1.0 update, New Vision has become a near complete package with the addition of several new textures, the fixed deusex.exe (helps re-size screen, choose renders, and run on modern systems) and the included DX renders. This mod is…

It's incredible how great these new textures look in the game!
But I've found a bug, maybe, that is not letting me play it. It runs nicely until I hit some "loading" point in which the game just closes and shows a message about an assertion error in FF'something'Windows.h, line 56, I think. Something about InPos <= size... [I'm writing this without the message open, so I'm trying to remember]. Has anyone seen anything like this?
I've heard one report of this happening, but it happened before they could even start playing. Are you using the GOG version of Deus Ex, by any chance?
I'm playing the Game of the Year edition from Steam. The fact that I could start playing may be because I had already a save game... because I had the problem in two different places in the map, both where the game would load a new area. I installed Kentie's launcher as well. If there's anything I can do to help you debug or something, just let me know =)
That's a shame, I was hoping it was just a GOG bug. I don't know if this is the cause yet, but it could be related to some changes to the DeusEx.ini.
Could you find the DeusEx.ini (in Documents/DeusEx/System), open it in Notepad and copy+paste the series of lines that start "Paths=..\"? There should be about 7 of them.
Also did the textures show up in the level you did load? And where are you in the game?
Yes, the textures did show up, and everything seemed to be working pretty well until the loading part.
"Paths=..\New Vision\Maps\*.dx
Paths=..\New Vision\Textures\*.utx
Paths=..\System\*.u
Paths=..\Maps\*.dx
Paths=..\Textures\*.utx
Paths=..\Sounds\*.uax
Paths=..\Music\*.umx"
Here's the Deusex.ini lines you asked.
And I'm in the beggining, in the place where you save the friend of the Smugler in the sewers in NY before going to the power generator.
When I use Direct3d 10 renderer, it work perfectly, but when I use opengl renderer, it don't work at all. Can anyone tell me what's going on?
In the deusex.ini file,scroll down to a line that says [OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice] and in that section, there should be a line that says UseS3TC=False. Change that to true and I believe that should work.
The best mod for DX! \m/><\m/
In theory, yes - you'd have to extract the textures from the installer though (it uses LZMA compression). There's some manual install instructions included. If you get stuck give me a shout by PM.
Thanks man!Really appreciate it
