Exceptional texture mod that adds a significant amount of detail to an already exceptional game. Many thanks to the developers of New Vision for bringing a old gem to new life. I can't get the game to run in Direct3D 10 no matter what. I've tried both Kentie's launcher and the other one but every time the game runs at the super-high speed. The only other mod I have is HDTP.
Is this compatible with HDTP?
Yes it is.
I just bought the Steam version, installed HDTP which runs fine, however when I install New Vision, after beginning new game it always crashes with "Assertion failed: InPos<=Size" error.
Tried changing various settings in the launcher - no effect, the game still crashes every time.
Right now will do a clean install ofthe mod without the launcher and HDTP and check if it works.
I removed biomod and now its all running fine except that when I start the game..2 small loading screens pop up and will cause the game to error out...but if I cont/alt/del as the screens are present...the game starts..weird lol
and now I cant use my saves unless both of those mods are on. who the hell makes a mod that cant be taken out of the game? these are texture mods...why do they effect saves. tried reinstalling and all of the crap
Only HDTP will affect your savegames, New Vision won't. Uninstall HDTP and try again to determine what's causing the crash. I'd also recommend either DX10 or OpenGL rather than D3D9.
I use this mod, Project HDTP, Direct3D9 renderer version 1.3, I am running windows xp and my pc is over the top for this game. My problem is after getting inside of our base on liberty island after completing the island mission...when I am walking down the tunnels to load into the next area the game continues to crash
Thank you for this mod... it is a great work for best game ever. Unfortunately, I cant play NEW VISION together with my native language localization. Great job !!!
You should be able to, you just can't use one of the custom launchers (which seem to override localisation). Install New Vision without a launcher and then edit your DeusEx.ini manually (there's instructions in DeusEx/NewVision.) Send me a PM if you have any problems.
