Unreal Tournament 3 marks the return of the world's première first-person shooter. It unleashes the full power of Unreal Engine 3, taking graphics, gameplay, and challenge to a whole new level. Players engage in intense battles with other human players online, or against Unreal artificial intelligence that sets the industry standard. With the most powerful futuristic weapons and vehicles available, this is FPS action at its best!

Hello community,
I've been looking at some of the old Hall of Mirrors media, and I must say I miss it a lot. Working on the mod was a great experience and I feel like I learned a lot and had a lot of fun in the process. I am also happy to say that as far as a Max Payne 2 mod is concerned, it was VERY popular which surprised me quite a bit. When I started working on this I never expected it to be anything that huge, definitely not huge enough to get magazine coverage all over Europe.
Alas, I do regret not having time to follow up on it with a patch or a sequel of some sort on the Max Payne 2 engine. But perhaps it's better to leave people wanting until you have something different to show them. That was always my philosophy when working on HoM. Our mod wasn't just a repackaged Max Payne 2 compilation of weapons/effects/music/maps. It delivered an original twist through gameplay, and allowed people to re-experience the game they had once paid full retail for (Max Payne 2). In the end, isn't that what mods are about? To let you experience more for less?
It is in this light that I want to let our loyal fans know this: After looking through the web and finding so much stuff about HoM, I have decided that I really want to continue it on a new engine. I have purchased a copy of Unreal Tournament 3 in the hopes of testing it out for a possible modification. I mentioned before L4D, but I was dissapointed to find that the SDK was never released in full as I hoped it would be. I am still considering the possibility of using Source as our next engine so don't fret!
That being said, I am working to reunite the Hall of Mirrors team again for another modding effort. It is my hope that the quality of our next release will not only match that of HoM, but surpass it.
As with any foray into new territory, I am interested in recruiting talent to help out with this new endeavor. If you are interested in helping build HoM 2, or have any ideas or suggestions please drop me a line here or email me at homteam@gmail.com
Take care,
Rico
