Epic Games was initially founded under the name Potomac Computer Systems in 1991 by Tim Sweeney.
Potomac Computer Systems released its flagship product, ZZT,the same year. During the latter portion of ZZT's life span, thecompany became known as Epic MegaGames.
Gradually, the Epic brand grewwith the advent of its shareware games, including Epic Pinball, Jill of the Jungle, Jazz Jackrabbit and One Must Fall: 2097.
In 1998, Epic MegaGames released Unreal, a 3D first-person shooter, which expanded into a series of Unreal games.The company also began to license the core technology, or Unrealengine, used for the series to other game developers. In 1999, thecompany changed its name to Epic Games and moved its offices, includingits Rockville headquarters, to Cary.
Its now one of the words leading game technolgy piorneers and licences its unreal, unreal 2 - 2.5 and new unreal 3 engine to all types of game companies over multiple game platforms.

Nice idear but is not going to work for FPS gamers who whant to take there skill seriouslly.
Becuase I have tried it halo3 XBOX360 and well every time i die i'd just had the feeling like i could move faster.
The reaction time is just like(lets say it in short corners) fuckt up slow.
Thereby FPS only rullezz on PC.
But heey thats my opinnion
but if the reactions are slow for you what about the person who killed you, sure FPS is better on PC, but it sells a hell of a lot more on console.
Thats quite wrong, pc sells way more than console unless it was introduced to console first.
