Regarding our Release Date for Update 1.1

As most of you are most likely aware, we've been working laboriously towards releasing update 1.1. In the time between 1.0552, and what we've accomplished thus far with 1.1, we've gone through a similar pattern of dropping, and inheriting new members for the team that we did during our development cycle for the initial release.

Since we first announced the update 1.1, we've built upon L.U.R.K. to a degree where it's nothing like we had envisioned it before. We're proud to say that 1.1 will bring L.U.R.K. our of beta, and into a product we would be proud to call a final. Not to imply that we won't set our sights even higher directly following the release of 1.1.

Since the inception of 1.1, we've added plenty of major features, both to pander to those who missed them from other overhauls, and completely new features that we've always wanted to see in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.. Along with a vast array of smaller additions, tweaks, and fixes that will make L.U.R.K. larger, and more polished then ever before.

Why The Delay?

Fans who have followed our project, back in the days of 4chan's S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Mod are very familiar with our method of development. Our goals for each subsequent release tend to expand as we allow our imaginations to run, and the work we put on our plate tends to take longer then we had initially planned for.

Rest assured, each day that remains in wait, is another day of hard-work stretched across our team. However the complaint regarding the release date for 1.1 is fair, and ultimately a mistake on our part.

We initially planned to release at the beginning of this month, however as we increased our workload, and kept our noses pressed against our assignments, we overlooked and forgot the release date mentioned for October, and we have nothing to say, other then 'sorry'.

So What's New?

A question worth asking indeed, and one that's not that easy to answer mind you. There have been hundreds of changes that have taken place within the course of our development for 1.1. However we've tried our best to compile a list that will sate your thirst for information regarding the upcoming update.

Note that this list is obviously pre-release, and subject to change in a positive and negative manner given any upcoming circumstances that may or may not occur. Also note that this change-log does not take into account every bug that has been fixed since 1.0552, in efforts to limit the size of the list.

So November 20th is The Release Date?

Yes and no. November 20th is our goal, nothing is written in stone. It's important for the community to have an idea of when we're going to release, and to give us goals to strive for completion, and tying loose ends, however it's ultimately a matter of when we finish. Unfortunately our delayed release is partially due to unpredictable circumstances regarding our team, and problems encountered that we didn't anticipate. For those who are curious, it regards to NPC's recognizing upgraded weapon's as separate entities, requiring separate object detection parameters for each consecutive branch of upgrades. As well as members who carry certain goals and responsibilities leaving the team prior to finishing, or even beginning.

What can you do?

A question I'm asking you. L.U.R.K. is always looking for more talent of all shapes and sizes to collaborate, and help us build S.T.A.L.K.E.R. into a more enriching experience. Don't be afraid to ask if you can help. We try to accommodate all who are willing to help.

Thanks for You're Patience

We appreciate your support and understanding. Your support and appreciation fuels our desire to continue. We hope that we've build your perception of the ultimate S.T.A.L.K.E.R. experience. I'd like to remind you again that it's extremely important to get your feedback on our work, and what you'd like to see.

look through "gamedata > config > system.ltx" for "max_weight = 35"

I made it 40 because it makes a fair difference.

Also I just did the bulldog mission in 1.0552, and I got nothing in return. I sure enjoyed killing 6 bloodsuckers though. (sarcasm)
