The goal of this mod is to bring back the units from the original Homeworld into the Homeworld 2 engine, with high quality texture and polycount detail. The campaign and animatics from the original game will also be included.

Hi everyone,

I've been the spokesman of our mod and have been publishing news and comments here. This has happened informally as for most of us modding has been a hobby. I have set new projects with new goals and although I'm always willing to help JK, Moleman and Krnt, I won't be publishing things in the name of HWR. So, no fights, nor vanities, just coherence.

To be honest, you don't loose anything, once I am the less skilled in the team. I just brought this up in the case you notice any new spokesman. HWR has a lot of things done and to be done, but it will be brought by somebody else. Also, at the moment HWR is the mod far ahead of any other concerning HW universe in terms of content. Not because "we are better" and all these vanities, but because most modders are in an interval, waiting for Gearbox and their new technology.

Talking about that, the "new-renderer" statement is powerful, hã? You might not think so, but I've been noticing "old" modders dusting off some ideas, so we should expect good news in the future, not only those brought by Gearbox.

Good things take extra time. Rushed projects face oblivion. Late projects often had that extra time to remove even MORE bugs and glitches/crashes than a game with a deadline. Take your time as necessary, we look forward to new screenshots and good news, :)

You bet, we have successfully got over major issues changes and important decisions, we wish we had more time for modding since its something we love and care, but with patience we have achieved something beautiful.

I'll understand if getting the campaign to work is too much, but PLEASE at least release all the ships for multiplayer as best as you can, that would be far preferable to letting the mod just fade away, and it would mean a lot to us classic HW fans :)

I don't think we will let the mod die so easily, we have been very busy with RL, even though I can only talk for myself, we haven't contacted each other in quite a while.

One thing that has been a huge turn down is that the AI is reluctant to work, but I have a few Ideas that still want to apply.
