But there were no Dustwars to be found on the intertubes so I had to resort around my old semi-crashed HD and see if Dustwars is still there. And luckily some of it was. And since it's not on the internets I thought why the hell shouldn't I reupload it?
And here they are, an early, almost fully ship featured alpha and early minmod:

I couldn't find the later minimod (it had some really cool things like PDSes on bombers and frigates, space stations (okay, armed asteroids, but still) and stuff. This is the release I mean. If anyone has it perchance I would greatly appreciate sharing so I can reupload it here too.

I think it's a worth playing mod
Whats the name of the song on the main menu of the mod?
Yes, it's just the mods re-upload (though I can't seem to find the most recent version of minmod :().
If I were to start Dustwars again (which I would like to do if I find time) I'd certainly write my own engine, which would be easier than trying to hack Homeworld engine into having terrains, galaxy map, megaliths and other Dustwars-ish things. The best would be of course having Relic release the HW2 source code, since it would save a lot of hassle, but I don't think that's going to happen anywhen soon.
Let me know if you get anywhere with that new engine that you might make.

Wasnt this mod stopped by sierra cos this was the original HW2 Idea or something?
Sierra cannot interfere with mods, it got halted because Jean-Ni-Rin got kicked off Relicnews while everybody else went off to join over modding teams.
Got kicked? So what? :) As if he couldn`t reregister :)
