The goal of this mod is to bring back the units from the original Homeworld into the Homeworld 2 engine, with high quality texture and polycount detail. The campaign and animatics from the original game will also be included.

Hi everyone,

I've been the spokesman of our mod and have been publishing news and comments here. This has happened informally as for most of us modding has been a hobby. I have set new projects with new goals and although I'm always willing to help JK, Moleman and Krnt, I won't be publishing things in the name of HWR. So, no fights, nor vanities, just coherence.

To be honest, you don't loose anything, once I am the less skilled in the team. I just brought this up in the case you notice any new spokesman. HWR has a lot of things done and to be done, but it will be brought by somebody else. Also, at the moment HWR is the mod far ahead of any other concerning HW universe in terms of content. Not because "we are better" and all these vanities, but because most modders are in an interval, waiting for Gearbox and their new technology.

Talking about that, the "new-renderer" statement is powerful, hã? You might not think so, but I've been noticing "old" modders dusting off some ideas, so we should expect good news in the future, not only those brought by Gearbox.

Okay, so I know you're doing the campaign (And hopefully the Cataclysm campaign after you're done here. :D ), but will you be adding the Raider Retreat mission into the campaign as part of the full thing? I, personally, would like that to be a thing. :D

when will this mod be fully functional with all (or most of) the features? I simply can't stay put, it looks so good! I miss HW(1) but it's a pain to see those graphics, also it ruins my memories...

This weekend I'll publish a log update.
We are working on M1 and M2 and hope to have them released soon, like 30 days, but I can't promise, once tweaking for refinements is a painful job. After the next release, we will probably have a new MP release with 10 more "new" ships that was halted.

I see what you mean, well, there's always limits, i sincerely don't think i have taken it to the limit, i just think it looks good enough now without it being a lag problem for people in th future, i know todays tech can handle a lot more polys, but i don't know how the game engine will handle it. And remember it's a rts, it will have a lot of models ingame.
