I really enjoy any kind of war game. RTS or Shooter. I don't like wierd fantasy games though.
Too many bugs in the newest version. Cool new units, but whenever I play as the Russians the game crashes whenever a vehicle gets damaged. Other nations mostly work fine, with weird random crashes after some amount of time. Russians consistently crash, though.
I think it's a play on words, what with "laziness is the mother of invention." So the ship is secretly named Laziness? That's what I took from it.
I'm sorry, you've probably heard this before, but does this mod work with the Steam version of the game? I don't know if there would be any problems with it or not. Thanks.
I noticed that the nukes on the Marathons seem a bit weak and ineffective. Is this intentional or was the AI just lightyears ahead of me in research? I targeted a group of the Cov. destroyers with two nukes from the Marathons and was hoping to see significant effects in terms of fire rate slow-down and all those other things the nuke says it does, ntm the damage, but they did almost nothing to the group, which was tighter than a can of sardines, and my ships got raped as usual. I am wondering because usually the nukes are effective in this mod, but I just now used them from the Marathons.
Yeah you are ignorant. If he makes it with the DLC installed because it has features otherwise not available, then that's how it goes.
I think it is ridiculous when rando people come in and say that the modders are ******** just because you are bothered.
Yea I have just turned them off. Wasn't trying to complain. Like you said, this mod is amazing. The battles are gloriously attrition-filled and it seems to run very well. It's kinda fun, once everything settles, to try and invade the flood planets (flood not active, but still present) and see how many of their host ships I can destroy, if any.
This is a great start to the mod. Seriously, it's at least as good as many finished products are these days. My only complaint is that the flood are kinda BS. I realize that's a matter of preference probably, but still, they can cap a ship in an instant, not to mention a whole fleet. AND that fleet is completely intact and ready to roll for the flood. I have read the books and it doesn't seem legit to me.
I played my first game and accidently had the flood activated. I realized it at one point in the game and I was like "Oh, good, finally a big space battle." Yea, well that "big space battle" was over in about 5 seconds and the flood had my entire fleet. That was kinda lame to be honest.
Overall, though, this is a fantastic mod.
Alright, thanks. Those units must have been another mod.
I have a couple of questions.
The first is kinda trivial, but I seem to remember some experimental naval units being in the mod, like a significant number of them. Have they been removed since?
Also, I have an issue where I am playing the game and everything seems to be fine and then everything stops. I can scroll around the map and all of the menus work, but the actual gameplay stops. All units, projectiles, and animations just go still, like it paused, but I never paused it. Not sure if this is the mod or the game, or maybe my computer.
Yeah, realism and aliens...
Kind of a confusing message.
Prove that it's not "amazing", as you say. People are such b*****s about things they literally have nothing to back.
I would say that if you manage to get in campaign and play battles for their duration then you are fine. Random crashes like that are probably not necessarily a fault of the mod (not all of them).
I don't think it's that any modders feel superior, it's just that they actually do a lot of work and have certain priorities, and then people that don't do any work come in and act like they know better...
Yes we send our A10s in alone most of the time...
There are more factors to consider when judging military equipment than just the single piece being considered at the moment.
Just a question for whoever can help. I used the map editor once to make a map and suddenly all of the menus in the game have random cameos popping up and textures where they should not be. The game was all running fine until I used the editor, but now it's about impossible to play. I have a full installation. Thanks.
The AI works if you do a full installation, which means you must take the Alliance data folder and merge it with the FOC data folder. This will make it incompatible with other mods unless you know what you are doing.
Used to play this mod with the version that you long ago deleted. I thought it was great then and just having watched your video I can't tell you how awesome your work looks. Can't wait for this one (though I will).
**** the comment system on this site sucks.
I don't see why not, as long as they are installed correctly, since they are different games.
Yeah, you're right, nobody uses dogs for artillery. I, too, would stick with the traditional, proven, triceratops concept...
Seriously? Let it be. This design is great.
Yea doesn't look like a Black Panther. Did you mean Black Eagle?
This looks to be more of a T-62, based upon te displacement of the turret.
I have no problem with this if it uses its weapons while it drops the package.
I hate the balance police.
I am glad you guys all know so much about war...
Go to his page and you will find that he joined in late July, 2012.
Not sure what is meant by "badly". The Stryker family is a hugely effective one.
Doesn't that mean that he fixed some tanks being unrepairable? That is how it reads to me.
Alright I will look into that. I think the comp is fine, not a beast but runs BK mod without issue, so yeah. Not trying to sound bitchy, though I probably did lol. Thanks.
