A translation into English

Changes of the 1.5 patch:

  • New Faction – Chaos Dwarfs.
  • New provinces on the strategic map.
  • New units, including: the Knights of Origo, Deserters, Anakonda’s Amazons, Golfang Maneater’s Ogres, the Black Mountain Boyz, Notlob's Orc Artillery, Mudat’s Half-Orcs, Dragon Company, Dark Lands Marauders, Shield Maidens, Chaos Ogres, Chaos Trolls, Stone Trolls, Norsca Dwarven Warriors, Norsca Dwarven Crossbows, Forest Goblin Spears, Forest Goblin Archers, Oglah Khan's Wolfboyz, Anvil of Doom, Earthshaker Cannon ,
    Death Rocket, Vidovdan Guard, Cataphracts, Raiders, Triumphalists, Minotaurs, Various Hobgoblins, Chaos Warriors and Marauders reskinned into the colours of their Dark Gods.
  • Slaaneshi Warriors revamped.
  • New battle AI, ReallyBadAI by Germanicu5
  • New settlement strat models
  • New general strat models
  • New unique generals for some factions
  • New scripts, including:
    - Conclave of Light factions cannot fight each other;
    - new scripted battles fol all factions (except Elves and Chaos);
    - new interesting quests with various powerful rewards;
    - AI armies strengthened, boasting more unique and elite units;
    - settlements change names when captured by another faction;
    - scripted alliance between Chaos Dwarfs and Chaos or Orc factions;
    - new mercenaries and unique units scripts.
    - new Crom invasion script, closer to fluff.
  • Tons of new videos – new mercenaries, unique troops and events.
  • New and expanded texts and descriptions.
  • New units cards and info pictures for some factions.

    BEFORE INSTALL AND PLAY (ANY VERSION!!!):1) remove version 1.4.4 (if installed)
    2) Disable UAC and other things if you are Win 7 or Vista user
    3) Run installer and game as administrator, it is absolutely necessary
    4) delete all map.rwm files from data\world\maps\ - do that each time after updating mod files
    5) delete strings.bin files from data\text\ folder - rarely necessary

system :
Windows 10
Medieval 2 with Steam

1) you need to download Call of Warhammer 1.5 (often available in linked multiples zip files)

2) once all zip files have been downloaded, move them all to your Medieval 2/Mods folder (the one with the other campaigns (or mods like Third Ages, Stainless Steel ...)

3) unzip the main file (usually called nr 1), and the other will be unzip automatically
this create a Call of Warhammer folder

4) inside the Call of Warhammer folder, you'll find the installation set up
WARNING : when launched, you must specify a folder path that is in your current Medieval 2/Mods
by default another folder will be created in c:/Program Files (x86)
in the latter case, you will have to move those files back to the Medieval 2/Mods where the main game data are

5) download the 4 patch files (about v 1.51 and the english menu hotfixes)
once done, move them to the Call of Warhammer folder in Medieval 2/Mods

6) you'll mostly need to cut/paste the patch files over to the v 1.5 ones and replace them

7) in the Medieval 2 main folder, do a copy of the Medieval 2.exe
and then rename it Kingdoms.exe (thus having 2 .exe files to launch Medieval 2)

8) launch Call of Warhammer from the Mod folder, by activating the Warhammer.bat file

that's all folks ;)

Uuhh!Played with empire yesterday with 2500 of my elite troops.Here's the story:

I was fighting beastmen armies around My Empire and destroyed all armies around.

Then Dwarves are looking for reinforcements because they are attacked by many armies of orks(3-4 Generals with 1500-2000 soldiers)

I,as a good emperor,accept the call and asemble all my troops(3700 of Carroburg greatswords,Handgunners,Reiksguard,and Empire Halberdiers and Swordsmen and Karl Franz as a general)

And so we got on 3/4 of the way and all of the sudden 2 generals of Sylvania vampires attack me.

I was vastly overnumbered and i couldn't withdraw because i was ambushed

I start the fight and they had many Black Knights and Skeleton warriors.

I make my main formation and wait for them.

My handgunners killed many Skeleton warriors as they were in the front line.

I take my Reiksguard and send them on the BLack Knights as a distraction for My Karl Franz to pass and charge on the Count's bodyguards

My reiksguard is almost spent and they are fighting to death

Although,Karl Franz found an opening and charges at Count's Bodyguards

Karl's bodyguards and Karl himself killed around half the bodyguard,and Karl's Bodyguard gets from 33 to 11 and i retreat them for a while.

All of the sudden Count's bodyguards start pursuing us.

Karl and his bodyguards go back and charge at them

Karl looses his bodyguards and stays alone against 5 count's bodyguards including the Count.

Karl kills all Bodyguards with one hit(Badass :D)

And i retreat him

Count still is pursuing Karl and stops at one place.

Karl goes at him and they clash at one place

Karl kills him after a tough fight

While i watched only Karl the whole battle i didn't see that i lost 86% of my Troops and they were all holding the line

I killed around 30% of Sylvania troops.


I never reached the dwarves.Uh and while i was on my Epic quest Altdorf was lost,because i took all troops from it and from Reiksguard too :P

i dont think the mod is impossible at all, there are also many lets plays on youtube that show you it is quite possible.
just manage your economy and you will be fine

Weird story. Whenever I fought Sylvania, their skeleton troops, which tend to be the bulk of their forces, are normally quite weak- you can grind them out and outmaneuver them. I'm surprised that you lost so many troops. Even against 2 full stack Slyvanian armies (as long as a substantial percentage is skeletons).
