I really enjoy any kind of war game. RTS or Shooter. I don't like wierd fantasy games though.
Sorry, I don't know where to ask this, but this mod is awesome, so I'll ask it here: is it possible to run mods for DoW in Steam? Thanks.
I saw this comment and, though it is very old, I decided to say that you are **** based upon what you have said here. I am sorry to hear that you don't "approve". It changes things very little in my opinion, as well the opinions of many others. Stop trolling and continue doing what you are good at, which is apparently modding.
He does WORK on modding, though.
Go **** yourself. Make your own mod or be grateful that so many people make mods for ****ing FREE. You are ****ing scum.
Some ships are not faction specific. i.e. the Dreadnaught, Republic ships, corellian ships, etc...
Fighters look dumb when they are big in huge battles. I for one like the size of them in this mod. I can't believe you found something to complain about in this mod.
You don't sound very educated. If you knew anything about how wars are actually fought you would know that simply planting "some charges" would only immobilize a tank at best, unless you have some monstrous supply of explosives and the tank isn't actually OPERATING. And you said that line infantry were very scary compared to cannons firing into them? You sound dumb. Modern tanks are masterpieces of devestation, by the way. Line infantry tactics were idiotic at best. Also, if cannons and volleys can't break a line of infantry, then you are missing with your cannons or volleys. :)
Your "90%" figure is probably wrong. What "real wars" is this from?
Well, the amount of ammo a weapon carries has little to do with whether it is light or heavy. Slap a bigger mag in this gun and it's still a light machine gun.
Remember, folks, this doesn't have to do all that much. Adding a bunch of extra stuff just for the sake of adding extra stuff doesn't really make that much sense. I think it is just fine for its job.
I have one question. Can this mod be played in skirmish with new units and such? It says somewhere that "extra mods" are disabled when multiplayer is played. When I finally get to the skirmish/singleplayer menu for a battle, I don't see anything special in terms of units or anything.
Does this mod do anything for singleplayer? Thanks
I wonder why all war games showcase the units of the strongest military in the world...
Yeah, dude, shame this guy for having a ****ing hobby and not making it his whole life. What a shame! Why don't you go somewhere else with your ever important judgement.
Let's take all these Halo: Reach models, except the Brutes! Why? Brutes are cool and there's no reason to leave them out except for the extra work. How are they not "Halo-ish"? They've been in every Halo shooter since the second one.
You think the Abrams is shi*? Suck a c*ck!
He doesn't mean the speed, I think he means the rate of fire.
I am so sorry you have to wait for video games to come out. Rough life, bro.
If you mean for a download, then I hate people like you...
Sweet video. This mod looks very good.
Yeah, guys, because we all know it's the tiny little skinning details that count when we have battles with thousands of units...
Where can I find installation instructions? I have the Steam version of the Gold Edition of the game, so I am not sure how to install it. Thanks.
What does "wait" really mean on ModDb? Is it that hard to occasionally check the mods page and see what's up? You don't have to literally wait and watch the page to see if it updates. Sorry but this comment is just pathetic.
This is a cool shot.
So, this mod looks pretty good. However, I seem to have it installed correctly, but nothing is changed. I run the .bat file, which works and tries to run the mod. This brings up the custom loading screen you made. Then, the normal game menu is there with no changes. I see only two races to choose (vanilla). I play a game and there is nothing new. WTF? Any help would be appreciated. I don't get any errors to pop up, but the mod just doesn't change anything.
Also, to install it, I just have to make a mods folder in gamedata and put Fight_for_Freedom in there, right?
So, you didn't realize that those are German soldiers in the first place, which means this is probably not a final product of the game? Pay more attention.
So, was it easier to do this than to put it in the description or as news?
The "Back" section is the bomb!
Yea, if you play NVA, don't anticipate utilizing aircraft as your primary weapon...
