One of the first things you may notice in the title is that the "B" is missing from VTMB, this is not an accident. The Final Nights is an expansion to an otherwise flawless video game built upon the success of the Camarilla Edition series of mods. The "B" has been removed because this expansion can no longer bare the name Bloodlines as it is so far removed from the original game as to warrant the name change. The idea behind this expansion is, and always will be the notion of a completely new experience unlike we've seen so far. With 7 completely brand new clans, 5 new disciplines, extra quests, new NPCs, new game mechanics and new music, the features seem endless. All of this is being built upon the Camarilla Edition series incorporating such things as the blood timer system, pedestrian blood dolls, and the new combat system. Combined we feel the name Bloodlines must be removed from this game, and thus we now simply have "The Final Nights".

Dear VTMB Community,

TCI released The Final Nights version 1.4 on New Year's Eve, a couple months ago and we thought we had all of the bugs ironed out. After Todd EVF featured 1.4 on his Twitch broadcast page, he experienced a few issues that didn't make sense. We attempted to track down these bugs without much success and they were unreliable at best.

We went ahead and released 1.4 how it was hoping that the community could play it and report back to us what was going on. You did, and with your help we were able to narrow down the problem and isolate it. Here's a quick run down on what's going on.

1.) Presence 3+ Bug - This is by far the most game breaking of the bugs we encountered. In short, when the player selects Presence level 3 or higher, the behind-the-scenes game mechanic is breaking the Source engine denying the player the active effects of any passive discipline. For example, after taking Presence 3, when you try to use Blood Buff or Blood Heal, you will spend the blood points, see the graphic play, but won't receive the benefits.

2.) Auspex Bug - This bug isn't game breaking, however, the new Auspex system isn't working as intended. We designed it so when the player activates Auspex, a check is made to see if the bonus to Inspection will reveal hidden items. While this is working in some maps, other maps aren't revealing hidden items in real time. We figured out exactly what the problem was and are testing our fix.

3.) Missing dialogue with Strauss about Gargoyles Bug - Again, not a game breaking bug by any stretch of the imagination, however, the missing dialogue will no doubt frustrate many players. We've already fixed this and will be implemented in a hot fix.

Looking to the Future

Right now we have our best python programmer; Childe of Malkav, working on this. He, along with myself and other testers are working to get this resolved as soon as possible. Once all of these issues are fixed, we'll be releasing a hot fix here on ModDB and on our TCI Forum. In the meantime, feel free to play 1.3 or 1.4 (with the bugs). I consider myself very experienced in both pen and paper games and pc version of VtM. I have played without mods, with camarilla edition, unofficial patches, antitribu, etc. etc. After playing TFN I must say, that while other mods are great, this one is best so far. Thank you for your hard work guys.

I really appreciate comments like these! It means a lot to us to read this as we've put about 5 years of hard work into making this for everyone. Lastly, I want to personally apologize for 1.4 being broken with the Presence and Auspex feature. Child of Malkav released a 1.4.1 hotfix that hasn't been play tested yet, but we're hoping a few of you will download and play with it and report back to us if Auspex and Presence in dialogue have been remedied.

So does this mod work with any version of the UOP? Because the installer notes say nothing about installing the UOP and I honestly don't think I can play this game without it being in widescreen.

This mod comes with a wide screen patch located in the \Vampire - Bloodlines\Tools folder. It's called ResPatch.exe. Run that and choose your screen resolution and you should be good.

So I'm playing "for the greater good" and it says there is a guy in a blue suit hanging around the "bar outside the empire arms hotel" which I assume is confession but he isn't there. wth?

Here's what it says. "Seems a Nosferatu got careless and was caught on surveillance feeding in public. The pictures were given to a journalist to be published in the L.A. Times tomorrow morning. He's at the Empire Arms Hotel downtown and most likely drunk somewhere near the bar. He's wearing a blue suit and keeps to himself. Find him, get those pictures back, and hurry!"

Like I said I've been through every room in the hotel on every floor and the only person I can interact with is the desk clerk. there is a guy in a sort of bluish suit but I can't talk to him there is no interact button.
>>must just be bugged. I killed the guy and he dropped the photo. I've had to restart play throughs on this mod 4 times now because there are so many conversation glitches. I didn't have any problems like this on antitribu or unofficial patch when I used them

I love this mod! For a while, I felt burned out on playing VtM:B until I found this gem. :D The gameplay difficulty is slightly amped up, which I appreciate, due to all of the modifications. The Camarilla Edition changes to the Blood Healing system, the fact that Haggle is almost necessary, increase in difficulty to Inspection/Seduction [the latter being virtually useless, anyway, but it forces you to "fend for yourself" which seems more realistic]... And I am in *love love love* with the fact that…

Promising that this was a completely different game from VTMB was an outright lie. Pretty much every mission that mattered was exactly the same. The storyline was the same. Even the powers that you get don't really bring much of anything new to the table. They mostly just bring in buffs and debuffs, instead of doing anything interesting. Also, I cannot condone you claiming that White Wolf Publications, Inc's copyrighted discipline logos are your own original work and sending cease and desist letters…
