One of the first things you may notice in the title is that the "B" is missing from VTMB, this is not an accident. The Final Nights is an expansion to an otherwise flawless video game built upon the success of the Camarilla Edition series of mods. The "B" has been removed because this expansion can no longer bare the name Bloodlines as it is so far removed from the original game as to warrant the name change. The idea behind this expansion is, and always will be the notion of a completely new experience unlike we've seen so far. With 7 completely brand new clans, 5 new disciplines, extra quests, new NPCs, new game mechanics and new music, the features seem endless. All of this is being built upon the Camarilla Edition series incorporating such things as the blood timer system, pedestrian blood dolls, and the new combat system. Combined we feel the name Bloodlines must be removed from this game, and thus we now simply have "The Final Nights".

Description

This is the Full Version and only requires Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. Install over a clean copy of VTMB.

Cool. I've been waiting for this. Looking forward to my first playthrough of TFN.

Is the manual with the installer? I don't see a separate download anywhere, unless the 1.4 one is still up to date? Don't say no one reads the manual... because I do!

I just responded to your other comment about the game manual. I explained it there, but in case someone else reads this, I'll answer. Yeah, if you just want the game manual, go ahead and download 1.4's manual, it's very similar to 1.5s. However, I did make some updates to the 1.5 manual which is bundled with the installer in root directory of your Vampire - Bloodlines directory.

Does this mod have the resolution patch built in? For 1440p and 4k resolutions? Thanks.

No, this mod only supports 1920x1080 (1080p). I have not tested it for higher resolutions so I'm not sure what it would look like. From my understanding, it makes the check box in the character sheet even further away from where it's supposed to be, lol.

I am interested in playing this mod but i have a few questions about installation, ive got the steam version of VTMB with the plus patch installed, it says i need a clean copy of VTMB so should i uninstall my current version with the plus patch and redownload a new one off of steam? also how would i install the mod itself? do i just replace the existing files in the game folder by dragging them in
sorry if its a noob question im basically new to this modding stuff and have only really used mount and blade mods.

Well, the best way would be for you to download a clean copy from Steam and then install 1.5 HD on top of that and call it a day. You'll be good to go from that point forward. If you want to use your Plus Patch copy, you can, but you may have glitches or other unwanted issues during your play through.

Also, there's a fantastic "How to install" video on our page here, and also on my Youtube channel that explains literally everything you need to know on how to install it, use the mod loader, and I talk about the retail CD/steam/GoG versions of Bloodlines, along with the game manual. Check out that video, it will answer most if not all of your questions. :)

Correct, TFN comes with the unofficial patch 6.5 and we began fixing our own bugs from that point forward.

Man I made a Salubri female blackhat and I m roleplaying as a relatively good girl and then i started watching your lets plays and you also roleplay the good geek girl :D . I like the game very much so far, great work you deserve respect. I only wish i knew haggle was so important in your mod... Well next time i ll definitely raise it, but for now I already bought 2 books gaining money with online banking. I also like the occasional clan specific dialog and the obeah dialog options at some points :D . And your music choices are very good especially in the main menu, really puts you in the dark mood :D

Glad to hear you're having fun with your new "good" girl Salubri blackhat. I highly recommend reading the game manual, especially about the things that interest you in particular. The 1.5 manual is in the root directory of your game, it's a PDF file. If you're looking to min/max and make the most powerful character possible, definitely read it to know how to do that. You can really sit down and plan out a good build. GL HF duckling ;)

Yeah i read a few things mostly about bloodloss/humanity/frenzy mechanic details but didnt read about feats and disciplines :( I dont think i ll be able to max this character but i ll still do a pretty good build for a first game. I play mostly with auspex to make good ranged/hacker build and persuasion. I dont like the second obeah level with the frenzy check seems kinda waste in my opinion i might not upgrade it :D . I played a bit of your mod once in the past with a follower of set but it was very long ago so i didnt remember most things :D . Something turned me off back then maybe it was the lower resolution, but right now i m hooked :D

Reply Good karma Bad karma+1 vote

The second level Obeah discipline seems like a total waste, but in TFN, frenzy is extremely possible (unlike vanilla Bloodlines), especially when you're low on health, blood, or both. When your humanity begins to drop below 6, be extremely careful about frenzying, even with high health and blood. Getting hit extremely hard will trigger a frenzy check.

With the Obeah level 2 + Salubri's natural clan merit, you are almost guaranteed to never frenzy, which is something the other clans can't boast about.

Yeah, I quit playing TFN because of the low resolution too, going HD has brought me back and made me want to play it again.

VentruePrimogen
VentruePrimogen - - 16 comments

Oh yeah i take it back I just read more of the game manual/guide and saw that Obeah is passive and all effects accumulate so it is awesome :D.

Btw while I agree with almost all the changes you made and you absolutely made the game more balanced fun and challenging to plan and play, I think you nerfed the Baalis a bit too much. I havent played them yet but seeing that humanity is very important in this game, both for bloodloss speed and frenzy checks, also reducing the times where 3 experience can be gained puts them in a huge disadvantage. I suggest to allow them humanity up to 7 and restoring some of the +3xp quests so that they are less than original but more than now. Also i believe you said now there are only 4 cases of +3xp quests. Could you please tell which quests these are and if require extra stats to achieve the +3xp outcome, like the Voerman case that requires persuasion, cause if they also require persuasion to achieve then Baalis are really unbalanced right now in my humble opinion.

And one last matter. I have played many different versions of Vtmb over the years so i forgot what is vanilla and what is modded in many cases. Also I played the up+ most of the time so some truly vanilla things i completely forgot. So my question is Nines only teaches you once in his bar brawl or melee, twice in his bar one time brawl one melee or also when he first saves you from the sabbat before you first arrive in downtown?

Thanks a lot for your answers and please forgive me if i take too much of your time. Be well

Hey, I'm excited to try this, but I have a problem. The manuel for 1.4 and 1.5 explain how to remove the Blood Timer, but the instructions don't work for me. Vamputil.py doesn't have the lines I need to edit. I've started a new game hoping it would put them there but there's no change.

You don't add any lines, you edit them. All you need to do is change the number in the vamputil.py file, don't add or remove anything. The lines should be located at the very top of the file.

I keep randomly losing health while playing as the Baali. Is that a bug or a feature?

I also got an item that's supposed to increase passive health regeneration by 25% from Strauss's plaguebearer quest. How does that work? Doesn't this mod disable passive health regen and replace it with a discipline?

And what's with the guns? Even with a firearms skill of 7, I'm having a hard time hitting anything that isn't in close range with any of the handguns. Did you also modify the reload time for the pump action shotgun or was it always this slow?

I'd like to add that the Baali exclusive discipline is completely underpowered. What's even the point of the second level ability? It's really short and it violates the masquerade. It's only useful on stealth levels like the ship or the museum, and even then a level 2 Obfuscate is a million times more helpful. The third level ability is complete trash, I never even bother using it. The fire only does between 15-30 damage on a single enemy, I get better damage output using the first revolver. And the fourth level ability is very dissapointing for it's cost. It's just a weaker (the target has a chance to resist? why?), more expensive version of it's Dominate counterpart. Lastly, the fifth level ability, while not as bad is still somewhat underwhelming. While the damage increase is nice, the attack rate is pretty horrendous and the amount of damage it absorbs is very small. Now I don't know how it compares to the other clan exclusive disciplines, but compared to others the Baali has (Obfuscate and Presence) they're not worth buying

But besides these issues, I actually like this mod and I hope to see more work done on it

You shouldn't be randomly losing health unless your blood is low.

You passively regenerate health by just existing. The necklace of Saulot increases this by 25%.

What's with the guns? I don't understand. I haven't messed with the guns at all except the Steyr Aug in 1.5. No, the Ithaca M37 Defense was not touched in 1.5 HD.

Rest for the Wicked is a fantastic power that puts people in a trance... for FREE. You can use it in a million different situations. It's OP in my opinion.

Conflagration damages supernaturals from a a range of 8-12% of their total health. This is a total boss killer as it is more devastating, the more health the boss has. It does 30-40% against non-supernaturals who, by game design, have very little health to begin with. 30-40% of 50 health is around 15-25 damage. Don't bother using it on kine.

Only supernaturals have a chance to resist Infernal Servitor. It's an instant kill against non-supernaturals. Against supernaturals, it still damages their total amount of health, like Conflagration does, and stuns them for a few seconds. Another great power.

Concordance is grants your unarmed attacks aggravated damage, gives you a +2 to strength, and gives you a damage buffer. What more do you want?

I would highly recommend reading the game manual before continuing your playthrough as it explains the game mechanics much more in detail, and you can really understand what TFN is all about. GL!

So, in the Ocean House Hotel, I randomly lost 1 Humanity. I reloaded, and it would happen after roughly a minute regardless of what I did. I just let it slide, went back to Therese and lost another point of Humanity.

Never encountered this before. Glitch.

You're welcome buddy. So basically, the blood timer fires every 4 minutes, when it fires, it also checks to see if the Ishtarri has less than 50% blood, if you do, you'll lose a humanity point, to a minimum of 3. You can never lose past 3 from your clan weakness, but you can still lose humanity the other ways though, like anyone else.
