Decadence is a story-driven multiplayer modification based on Valve Software's Source Engine that combines the personal relationship to characters and surroundings of single-player games with an adrenaline filled multiplayer experience. Decadence pits two teams against each other in a fight over territorial control. Each map is designed in stages to offer a more compact and action filled gameplay that puts focus on teamwork and strategy. Decadence is multiplayer with personality, where you play as one of four different characters. The character you pick is specifically for you and will give you certain weapons and other advantages, and you need to use every single one of them together in combination with your teammate to succeed. The environment will also be key to survival, providing cover from enemy fire as you advance towards their flag. Staying close to your teammate is vital in Decadence. Another week passes by and this time we finally have some releases to talk about (being a podcast about Mods that's possibly a good thing). Might want to mention also Kernel Panic ( Moddb.com ). You promised to focus more on on FPS games; well, this one is a nifty Tron like RTS. The ball is in your court :)
I'll check it out. As for variety- we talked about FPS, RTS, RPG, a 2d sidescrolling game and a SPORE mod to boot. Can't fault us for that on this episode! :P

Thanks for mentioning us on the show. Just to clarify we are not part of the Source port that a fellow did a while back. Lastly, I hold no malice in the COF comment, James and I own Half-Life Creations.com together and he works as our coder as well as COF.

Yeah, the SOundtrack is sexy, and the game will surely be a big hit. It'll be the next Counter-Strike in terms of popularity, but hopefully the playerbase'll be better.
Of course, it could also be another mod that is "Too good", and widely discredited, as I've seen other mods in the past. (Ghosts Ops)
Encore also looks very interesting. I can't wait for it either, it should be released before Summer, or so a Dev said, though it was originally Q1 2009...who knows. I'm personally betting on April 1st. :P
the goldeneye source update was because of an error with the server-client round/match times because of diffrent server/client dll's not achivments or anything
the acheivments was because of valve who also "broke" all multiplayer orange box mods servers.
and the reason you couldent find any other maps is you didn't update hence was only finding old crap servers with 3 maps
there are quite a few maps released as well
not accusing you at all but im just explaining what actuly is happening

The jobs board sounds like a great idea! Very very useful for modders who are aspiring to work in the games industry, particularly since you can easily link to your work on MODDB.
Also thanks for mentioning Heart of Evil Napalam Edition - I should add it's for the Half Life 1 engine ;)

Hey all, I'm a developer on IWBTFG and I thought I'd thanks you guys for the mention here. As you mentioned, the game IS actually intended to be almost unfairly difficult, but we try and make it rediculous and funny enough that it's still enjoyable to play without just being nothing but frustrating.
Actually, that might be cool to talk about sometime, if you're interested in an interview.

Um, how did you come to that conclusion?
Well, constantly comparing it to TF2, but with most of the content removed...in my book, that's bashing...but maybe you guys didn't think it was.
I know if I was making a mod and someone said it was a "barebones copy of xxx game", I'd take offense.
Well, none of us said it lacked content. We compared gamemodes to TF2 and the classes since we haven't played the game. You need to spend more time paying attention to whats being said and not finding more reason to spam.
