O.O I never saw it coming. At all. I was pretty sure a kickstarter wasnt going to happen. I love kickstarter but it is largely a commercial thing and it never seemed like that was what you wanted for your project. I was a bit surprised you gave it real consideration.
But I figured you would spend literally the rest of your life enjoying tinkering with URR. Never imagined you would put an entire year into it! Considering how much you manage to get done in your free time the idea of a year of focus is one part mind boggling and two parts exciting.
Looking forward to what you pull off very much. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Man, watching you release updates on this game is like watching someones odyssey happening. Much has happened. Much more to come. All of it interesting.
The things you do with text...
Glad to see you all made your goal there. Too broke to back myself but its good to know there was enough interest.
That is very cool.
Story driven games aren't my favorites but if my situation allows before the close I will be backing at some level just because I really want to see this team continue to develop games. The quality and depth you all go after is something I definitely appreciate.
I saw this and couldnt help but think this contest was already won around a decade ago, on an unsupported platform. ThieveryUT. If mentioning that doesnt bring back fond memories for you then you have my pity.
I happen to enjoy the graphics. I think they are very good. Just because they don't use all the tools used on 3D video games doesn't mean they don't use the tools they chose very well.
Not really a fan of NEO Scavenger.
What I got from this video? Big, FLUFFY cats. And how many times did you kick that drum that you had to move it back and fourth so often?
You know I'm still not sure if this game is for me... but it would be fun as hell to watch on twitch.
No contest. Pancakes all the way.
Actually took another look myself today just because I was curious. A lot of things were smoother and much improved. I honestly doubt Ill get really interested till the NPC metagame gets in but... I actually believe it honestly will eventually.
With most developers I "hope" things will go the way they are supposed to. Its taking a while but the indie stone is actually building a little faith in their work for me. I really believe it'll be there and it'll be good. Eventually. Assuming they are keeping more redundant backups these days. :p
Not sure that the project really interests me but I think it's cool that you all find stuff you're interested in and try to support it. Fare as I'm concerned more is always welcome.
One of the fans should do a lets play as a tutorial.
That was a lot to read. A lot to consider. Now I will tell you the most important take away I got. Dragons wearing Fedoras.
Got mine! Played PZ for the first time in a while. Lasted all of 9 IG hours. lol Not long at all. Like the new UI changes but figuring some of it out at the moment is getting me in trouble.
lol I wasnt disagreeing with Nick's comment. I was only trying to emphasize how well the npcs were moving by pointing out they are doing a better job then I do.
Realistic? Looks careful and intelligent. Feel like I romp around like a careless fool in comparison. lol
I made it to 10 days 74b. But that was lucky. I think the most important change is stopping guys from spawning on scavenge. Mostly because weak chumps spawn and run. Then repeat... Soon you have a freakin army of them. lol Very smart change there.
lol I didnt last two minutes!
O.O Are we there yet? Can't wait to try this out.
Maaan. Between this and shadowrun returns Im not going out for a long time.
Someone feed him after midnight? ;)
Reminds me of Thievery UT in premise. Which can only be a good thing. That mod is still fun after a decade.
O.O Are we there yet? I really want to be there.
That is part of the challenge man! But the next release will have even more interesting ways to deal with it.
