The original maker of the mod can describe it better than I can.
In the end you can just use your skills and it will automatically level you up, adjust your attributes based on what skills you raise and you can just play without worrying that your skill usage may ruin your character.
Exciting stuff! But the fact that you put in the leveling system sort of reminds me.. That while Morrowind is one of my favorite game of all times... One of the few Ive bothered completing at all.. And I completed it several times... I was only able to do it with the help of GCD. The seamless leveling mod. I assume mods for the old game won't work with OpenMW. So, have you all considered maybe building some of the more popular core gameplay mods into the game engine itself? As options of course.
Seamless leveling is my essential mod but I'm sure there are others that people just found they couldn't play the game without in the community.
Though I understand there is the issue of where to draw the line. Who get's their essentials and who doesn't. I just felt like I had to ask. I surely don't look forward to feeling like I need to min max and fear using certain skills at the wrong time again. lol
I love you guys. This mod is going to be even more epic!!!
It's a cool idea but multiplayer not being possible kind of kills it for me. Good luck anyways!
Meh, I honestly didn't know there was a difference between a clip and a magazine. I'll have to look it up.
Someone said that machine guns are belt fed. Not always the case. Especially in LMGs designed for mobile fire support. Look at the good old M1918 BAR. That old badboy has a clip.
All looks very nice. Not sure I would be willing to carry around rusty RPG-7 rounds though. Just the idea of structurally compromised explosives makes me... Nervous.
Quality stuff man.
You know what you should do if WB never relents? Continue your project. Research the absolute bare minimum you have to change so that they can't do anything. Parody their IP and take legally safe cracks at them throughout the entire game. At least then all your hard work can be of use and you could get some satisfaction at the expense of the prick who decided to pursue this C&D.
That it does! Though I maybe didn't represent things properly. I am a bit excited about your creation options too. I was just hoping there was more to it. And there seems it is. Thank you for taking the time to respond!
I grabbed 3079 at gamersgate during a really... flat our spectacular indie sale. I had been curious about it in the past and with the sale I decided to give it a try. As it turns out I am interested in the concepts but really even for an indie game it doesn't feel finished. At least not to me.
You are of the opinion that funny is bad?
Really? I'd feel horrible every time I looked at it! Not only is it in bad shape but it would remind me of all the other dogs that gave me no choice but to shoot them.
I like the engine but I am not seeing enough about the game itself. What is the point? I personally won't remain interested in just making things that have no restrictions, requirements, or real use. What goals are there?
What is the game about?
It's hard to believe someone is.. ah.... Unintelligent enough to make this comment with any seriousness. I'm leaning toward thinking it's a troll. Which is worse.
LoL You guys are awful at this part of things huh? Awesome at making games... Utter fail at making even the simplest video presentation. Love it!
I'm not all that bothered by the lack of more new ordinance. As N.A mentioned they had already added plenty. I'm excited to see the polish they added and the other new features.
Honestly lost interest in the project when it moved to skyrim. But this is just so screwed up I'd like to support them. Sadly... that gopetition site sort of gives me the creeps.
Naw, he ran into a pack of rodents and got too excited. ;) Six little bugger cost him clip after clip of ammo! lol
I don't like what they did to Elderscrolls with Skyrim either. The engine might be nice and all but they stripped away SO much of what made elderscrolls a fun rpg that it's just not worth having.
That is cool!
Come on. Admit it. You edited out 50% of it to hide the goofing off that breaks out randomly in that open isle in the middle! ;)
You should make it so that randomly clouds shaped like things are generated. "Ooh! A bunny!!". lol
Er, they are flying? I'm not seeing it. I think the clouds are over them. Er which would be supported by where it says Poison Cloud Arrow on the screen there.
I love what I've read so far! I'll be watching for more!
I think he means in zombie form. Would personally put me off of things a bit. Sure bad things happen to everyone in real life.. But no need to push it that far in a game. Is why I eventually couldn't take the walking dead comic anymore.
Interesting art style. I like it. Not my particular style of game but I still wanted to give kudos for the style and willingness to step outside the norm.
Well if you are going nitch... I would also love a space game where ships aren't disposable. Well at least beyond the starter ship. I would love for them to be expensive as heck. Have lots of components that can be upgraded or switched with things that are scattered about at varying cost and rarity.
Im talking expensive enough that people playing for a year might have three to five nice ships. If they are very good, very dedicated, and very lucky. And not spending their earnings elsewhere. On things such as orgs, stations, blah blah. And keeping much more than that as an individual would be too costly and just unreasonable.
Too many space games have disposable ships. Or ships that will respawn with you! lol Sort of sad. How do you get invested in something like that? How do you get attached to your ship and take pride in it? And yes.. I personally like it to down right hurt if I lose a ship. Thats what I like anyways.
