Wait, isn't this a linear story game? Well I guess there isn't going to be much in the way of replay value sp at least.

The combat looks very very sexy. I can't say i know a whole lot about this game's predecessor but if there is enough to do aside from fighting I may never put this one down.

It's kind of sad. I cant get myself interested in playing stalker anymore. The idea of playing without all the areas coming in the next version of this mod seems... silly and pointless.

So yes I can't play anymore and it's all smrtphoneusr's fault!!!

I respect that you warned people. A lot. Most developers don't say a word when they release things broken. Then when there is a flood of complaints about it they wait several days to weeks to even comment on the situation.

This full disclosure sort of feel is nice. You are telling folks how things are and giving them a chance to choose. Keep it up!

This seems like a really interesting idea. Cross between H&H and fallout.

yeah that wasnt a question. That was just me voicing my opinion that it would make for a good multilayer setting. Sorry. Didnt think it was that unclear.

I love the basic outline of a game that is open ended with a lot of depth. What I don't get is what the basic gameplay will be like. Will it be similar to say.. fallout or even better fallout tactics? Or will it be more like.. EQ clone MMOs? If it is something entirely different could you give or direct us to a detailed description or concept?

As I said the outline is very interesting. It's the perfect setting for another sort of game I've been hoping someone would develop. A PMO. Persistant Multiplayer Online. Sort of like a mini MMO. Or M.U.D. with graphics. An always on server where 20-200 people could hope in and do their thing in a world that is always there waiting for them. Would be especially awesome with mod support. If it ever comes it will be from an Indie developer like yourself. More a labor of love then a corporate money maker.

I know this is the greatest sin of all but.. Can we get a.. Hmm. I don't want to call it a minimum time frame.. Is there any chance you can tell us the absolute soonest the mods next version would be released in a perfect world?

I keep checking back hear nearly dayly because I have no clue how far along things are. And it's not like you have a team that can take time to give us tidbits to keep is sated. I'm just hoping to skip checking back until there might actually be something to see.

If you are certain it will take more then two months I would be grateful just to know that. Even if it ended up taking five months or more. Just so I could stop wondering.

LoL I asked this question one page ago. It sparked some very... strong feelings. From what I am told here complete does almost nothing and its all really atmosphere mod.

Which is already going to be combined with the next release. That said.. Run and hide before the beat you about the head for bringing up complete mod too. :p

smartphoneusr, I meant no insult by the term sacrifice. If the choice came down to the huge amount of content your adding and the amazing graphical changes of other various mods odds are I would go for content every time. I don't think default stalker really looks bad.

I probably would have tried 0.41 but I didn't realize it was available and it seems like 0.45 is on the way.. so I might as well hold off.

NODsoldier, are you retarded? Why would I cut myself over any game... And I am not talking about atmosfear features. I have never used that mod. I am talking about features I have seen in complete.

Now after looking again it seems that Atmosfear did contribute some very nice features to complete... But none of the listed features that I am hoping not to lose are attributed directly to Atmosfear.. again off the top of my head the only one I understand for certain is the change in how long distance views are handled.

Now for all I know this is a another contribution to complete by Atmosphere but if it is I cant find where it says so. The rest of the changes... They were too numerous and mind boggling for me to pick out. It was more the whole effect of the lighting, weather, textures, and effects. Hell the damn swamp became almost pleasant to look down at.

So fear does the extended view range and all? I like the improved graphics but being able to see more realistically at a distance just improved the game for me in a way Im not sure Im willing to give up.

I don't guess that means there is a chance of incorporating or making a compatibility patch for complete?

This mod is even better than my first time around with 2009. Both enhanced visuals and actually seem to improve gameplay on my systems. And both times I remember going in just after installing and being blown away.

I actually only just signed up for moddb after years of coming here to express my excitement for a different mod for CoP... but I am not sure I'm going to be able to get myself to let go of complete to give it a try. The change is just that staggering.

I've been coming to moddb for years. Not sure how many at this point. I just now registered so I could log in and say how glad I am to see this mod. I actually come to moddb today just to see if anyone had added any new maps or anything.. And this is beyond what I was hoping to find.

Couldn't find a single feature listed I didn't like. I must admit I'm a bit scared you will go overboard with the ammo scarcity, but then this isn't post-apoc so I doubt it will get all that bad.

I will be watching for new info and the release very eagerly! Keep up the good work!
