Great mod. 8 out of 10. Only a few small things I'd wish they'd fix... like take 9mm ammo out of the damn P90 and give it its own 5.7x28 ammo, and leave it in some places and let the stores sell it. That has always really bugged me. Because of its design, 9mm slugs would never work with that gun, and 5.56 ammo is nearly double the length, so that doesn't work either.

Another problem is the stores stop getting new stuff after a certain period of time, and I wish they'd get rid of that problem. It wouldn't be a problem if they didn't add so much extra stuff to do in the game. Because of all the extra exploration and things to do, the game takes longer now but they didn't allow extra time in the game to compensate. So if you go over a certain amount of days in the game, no more stores. I wanted to do everything so I wouldn't have to play through it again... and it is a very long game.

Third problem is, no one has ever taken the time to make the too people you can marry worth your time. They level up and they're still weak as hell and just a nuisance. Marrying the girl for example, would be worth your time if you could train her up to be a great fighter. Maybe they could each be good at certain things? Like the girl could be great with heavy or energy weapons and grenades, and the guy could be good with sniper rifles and melee. You'd think it would be the other way around but that's why its so awesome, a hot babe wielding minigun gun is pretty hot. :D

Unfortunately, it's pretty obvious that HDTP is dead. :( The last news update was in 2008... its been FIVE years. I wish someone would pick up where that guy left off. A lot of work has already been done. Its such a shame it's not finished. This mod is done, and it looks like that mod was about halfway done. That means that DeusEx has been 75% upgraded. Why let it end there? I don't understand that. Its still one of the best games in existence right now, alongside System Shock 2 and list of others.

The only missions this mod adds is German missions, and I'd rather stab my self in the leg with a fork than play as those evil murderous SOB's. I wish you'd make Allied missions.

Well... it would probably be fun if I could get it to work. The first mission loads fine. No problem with anything up to that point. But I only got this mod to save and automatically proceed to the next mission ONCE. I did it once to see if it was working right, and it did work. Then I tried a real game with a mission set up I was happy with, and when I saved NOTHING happened. Tried quitting after save, nothing happened then either.

Anyone know how do I get this to work?

Man this mod is really really buggy.

Anyway, this looks like a lot of fun... but seriously, I can only use ONE save!? That's going to be really annoying. :(

There has got to be a way to use more than one save file. Can I save my progress as some other file names, then save the last save as the name I chose in the setup? Would that work?

The Battle Preparation Screen keeps giving me awful choices in units I don't want and its too random. Someone PLEASE tell me there's a way to edit this feature so it gives me some better choices in units? This is incredibly annoying!! I'm not trying to cheat, I just want a slightly better selection to choose from.

I think a better way that could have worked is when you select units, other choices get greyed out so you have to figure out what you need the most... instead of something completely random.

Also, if I cancel out a unit, I don't get my credits back! Definitely some bugs.

That reasoning makes no sense. It's the equivalent of a child saying the toy he's playing with is invisible and no one can kill him, telling everyone they missed him or can't kill him. Anyone who thinks that way, should not be making games, especially tank battle simulations. That kind of reasoning is just idiotic. If you have the skill to break through or sneak through/around enemy lines, and get close enough behind a tiger to shoot it point blank in the rear with a smaller canon, you should be rewarded for that accomplishment. It would add much more depth and enjoyment to the game. This was one of the most widely used tactics in WWII to destroy tigers by US tanks.

For a game like WoT, an understanding and ability to execute strategies and tactics commonly used by tanks is crucial to game play, since they purposely put tanks of all sizes and types in every game and encourage players to work together and scout. If the devs don't allow players to execute such a simple and widely used maneuver commonly used by tanks (especially tanks from the WWII era which is what the players are driving!), then the game is broken in my opinion. A lot of others share this opinion.

This game sucks. Period. The devs need to grow the hell up and get a clue. I've heard from countless people the devs act like "immature" and "douches". Their words, not mine. I never saw the devs in the forums so I have no opinions based on first hand experience. But to be honest, I'm not surprised. Their immaturity shows through in the way they've made this game.

Some friends and I all tried this game. At first we liked it. We loved working towards buying upgrades and better tanks. We liked the game play and the roles different tanks have, but felt some canons were severely under powered. You should be able to sneak up behind a Tiger with a 75mm or 76mm and blow its engine at near point blank, but we couldn't pierce through. It made the heavy tanks too godly, which felt really unbalanced and took a lot away from the experience.

Then we started getting shot by invisible tanks, I say again, INVISIBLE. As in totally invisible like in a Science Fiction movie. Turns out when you activate the camouflage system in this game, the tank just goes invisible. What a shame. This could have been such an enjoyable game, but the devs didn't want to take the time or make the effort to make an actual camouflage system, so they just made the tanks invisible and called it a day. Fail. We all uninstalled the game and told our friends not to bother with it, which no one did except for one guy and he ended up hating it too with the same complaints.

As it turns out there's a lot of people who quit this game, without terminating their account... so the amount of players this game claims probably isn't very realistic.

This was a year or two ago, so I don't know what they've changed or if they've fixed the balancing issue we had. But I hear the terrible camouflage system is still unchanged. What a shame. I wanted to like World of Tanks and would have to play a game like this regularly, but such an obvious short cut is just too unforgivable to bother with this game. It just ruins the experience.

Another add-on mod I'd like to see is one that lets you dual wield pistols and laser pistols, and add some weapons that were missing... like a laser rifle and maybe a small SMG like a futuristic Uzi. :D

And a mod that increases the difficulty for standard, energy, and heavy characters, since those are so much easier to play than psi characters. That's not balanced at all, never has been. Maybe just simply make enemies just a little more resistant to those types of damages across the board?

There's no reason why this mod can't redo the animations, which are incredibly AWFUL and badly need to be fixed. Get enough work done and show you're committed to this project, and someone will volunteer to help with the animation. That's how a mod goes. Stick with it, show you're for real about this, and your mod will gain the attention of the kind of people you need on your team. It'll happen if you give it time and stick with it. Trust me.

Something else I really think should be done, but by another mod but in cooperation with this mod (like an add on to this mod), would be a total redo of the last quarter of the game. That part of the game was never really finished, it was rushed out the door and a lot of people hate that part of the game. Most likely they ran out of time and funding. Anyway, it sucks hard an it needs to be overhauled BADLY. By that I mean new level designs and better challenges but keeping some of the original content, and keeping the same ending. Don't screw with the ending.

WOW, I really hope another Men of War or Heroes title uses this engine! That would be so freakin sweet! I'm really curious about this engine. Does it have all the same physics in terms of building destruction, ground deformation, spreading fires, damage from flying debris, etc? Or better? And how is the network coding? I have a great concept idea for a next generation of WWII gaming, and I think this might be the right engine for it.

I'm looking for something that just lets you attack when you click your mouse, like other games... not a combat mechanic that does the fighting for you. I want to choose how and when I strike with a sword, I don't want to click and the game attack a bunch of times for me, and I don't like the reticle system where you just have to press a button when it flashes a certain color... its stupid.

I'm looking for a mod that gets rid of the idiotic combat mechanics in The Witcher, where you have to stare at the reticle and click at the right time. I want to watch the game on my big screen... not stare at a tiny reticle. I hate it with a passion, and I can't enjoy this game with it. Please tell me this mod gets rid of it completely? If not, what mod does?

I DO NOT understand why a mod team doesn't give this game a small makeover? Not asking for a complete do over, just fix the major problems, namely the terrible AI, awful UI, the bad lighting, and some of the graphics and textures. Compared to a mod that adds all new content and completely redoes a game, its not really asking much. Common guys.... please? :)

Is it like the Battlezone II 1.3 community patch where before you start a game you select which mod you want to use out of a list? Or do you have to install each mod individually? Or is it like Morrowind where you can play all of the mods in one game?

I'm not saying this is a bad mod, its looks very well made. BUT for once I'd like to see something more original than more HL2 levels. Anything I see is either stalled for a really long time with very slow progress or it just dies. I haven't really seen any good HL2 mods in a while, not that there were many. The entire reason WHY I got this game when it came out was because so many people wanted to make all these incredible mods... but it turned out most of them didn't want to do the work or just didn't have the dedication. :(

I just found out that the BZ2 community product boards are dead. This is a sad day indeed. I hoped they'd reboot them, and get rid of all the members who cause problems.... but something happened, and the board is just gone now, deleted. :( What happened to all the community updates? The maps? All the mods? I suppose I'll have to eventually turn over every rock on the net to find them all. This blows. Again that community has struck a blow to this game. This is a real shame. :( This makes me sick. I really hope someone backed up all that stuff.

The douche bags at Ubisoft have again made it clear they don't give a flying **** about the communities of their games, and refuse to release the SDK. That means no mods. It’s a terrible shame. The game is definitely a work of art, and there are so many incredible mods you could make for it, but that won't happen now. This makes the game's value drop significantly in price.

Also the game tricks you into thinking that the many choices you're forced to make will affect the story. It does not affect the story or the game in any way, which really ****** me off and a lot of other players as well. This could be fixed with a mod. Oh but wait, Ubisoft won't let anyone do that. You can download cheats, trainers, some new maps... but that’s about it. Nothing worth being called a mod from what I've seen.

I had three major problems with this game. There’s no stealth system and the AI could always see me perfectly even if I was behind tons of thick jungle plants, and the weapon system is very restricting. It doesn't let you carry what you want in each slot like the first game, you have to carry certain weapons in their designated slots, which allows far less freedom of tactics and personal weapon choices like in the first Far Cry.

This is NOT Far Cry 2. Far Cry kept it simple. A stealth system that worked, intelligent AI that worked together, simple objectives, weapon slots you could use in any way you chose, beautiful scenery, fun vehicles, and a simple story that didn't pretend to be an RPG. Ubisoft totally ruined that recipe in this game.

And fixing any problem with a vehicle by tightening 1 bolt was just stupid. It’s worse than being able to fix a sentry gun in Team Fortress 2 by hitting it with a wrench. "Ug! Me caveman, me hit gun till fixed!"

6 out of 10. More than $10 and you’ve been ripped off. Sure the graphics are good, the weapons are decent and the vehicles can be fun... but that’s about it.
