Night Vision Mod v1.1 by Masson
Apr 8, 2013 Night Vision Mod for Far Cry 2 by Masson Full Version 0 commentsNew version of Night Vision Mod. Add new dll, screenshots and my settings.
Discover one of the most beautiful but also most hostile environments in the world, Africa. You are sent to this war-torn region to assassinate the Jackal, a mysterious arms dealer who has rekindled conflict between local warlords, jeopardizing thousands of lives.
In order to fulfill your mission you will have to become a gun for hire, trapped in a war-torn African state stricken with malaria, and forced to make deals with corrupt warlords on both sides of the conflict in order to make this country your home.
Play the warring factions against each other, identify and exploit their weaknesses, and neutralize their superior numbers with surprise, subversion, cunning and, of course, brute force.

I'm still waiting to start my new job so spent 5 hours today updating to v1.1
There are some big changes in v1.1 over v1.0. There is now a config.txt file that once setup per installation instructions will execute console commands upon launch. These are tweaks and adjustments to prevent in-game setting conflicting with the mod.
Secondly, there has been an overhaul to the HDR so the extremes shouldn't be so bright/dark as many users commented. The difficulty with tweaking this game is that you need to be able to show bright desert, shadowy plains and lush jungle in the viewable spectrum of light. I was able to make tweaks through SweetFX to shadow gamma that allowed me to keep the mod colourful and bright during the day but lift the darkness of the shadows and indoors. Also, the desert should not be blindingly bright anymore - still bright but you should be able to see where you are going!
Let me know thoughts!

Is this the full game download??
Since when Ubisoft makes games for free ???!!!!
and yes it's free... in Torrents
Underrated game but not what you would call a Far Cry game, due to not having mutants kinda puzzled by that gaping plot hole.
I really have to concur on the modding subject. I would've loved to have a mod put in a hunger/thirst/sleep system to force me into survival mode. I love such realism mods, because they are completely optional instead of forced on.
are there even planes you can ''take'' that you should fly!!? not on the airports...
Rumor has it Jack Carver has lots of similarities with The Jackal.
The only problem with Far Cry 2 is it's name - people expect(ed) it to be a sequel to Far Cry 1. It isn't. Not by a long shot. I don't even know why Ubisoft bought the IP, they could have made the exact same game with a different title, and then everyone would have been happy. Far Cry fans would have gotten a sequel from Crytek, and Far Cry 2 would have had a different name while still being the awesome game that it is. I, myself, hope Far Cry 3 is more similar the FC2 than FC1.
I wouldn't say the only problem was the name. I thought it was a great game with possibly the best gun play of any game ever but always having to fight people on the way to every mission and enemies respawning at outposts was annoying a better fast travel option would have helped.
I do like the idea that Crytek would have made Far Cry 2 and Ubisoft would have called this Zebra Hunter or something. I also agree that Far Cry 3 should be like Far Cry 2 which I think it most certainly will be I just hope Ubisoft doesn't put any DRM on it...except Valve's.
Also that made me thnk of something does Desura have DRM like Steam? It doesn't seem to but maybe I'm wrong.
