It's newstime again in the Tolkien Modding Community and there is quite a lot to report of. So lets jump directly into it

Lord of Universalis

MacbethTheTyrant is eagerly working at the modding-project for Europa Universalis IV. It are the little things which give a game the LotR-feeling, with the Overhauling of the user interface they have done a big step forward. Have a more detailed read here

Overhauled User Interface for the top bar at Lord of Universalis

Folk of Middle Earth (edain submod)

Showing off plenty of new units for his submod, lord_ellessar seems to be also pretty active and, this must be said, creative too with some of them.

Dol Amroth Men At ArmsCrossbowmen of pinnath gelinMarksmen of BelfalasFiefdoms

Persistent Lord of the Rings (PLotR)

The LotR mods dev team seems to be surprisingly still active too, presenting their last work in a news article and a screenshot. While the new troop trees are thought through for the Persistent World setting there can also be seen some armouries from other mods about which one could question himself if they got the permission to use them. This is however not my beer to drink. For a more detailed look here

Guess what it is:)

The Blood of Numenor

Theodron announced that the work on his modding-project is on a break. Since he deleted the article with the announcement again, I am not sure anymore if it was due to his job or something else.

The Last Alliance

Sara_Temer and here team are still working eagerly on the first LotR-mod for Total War: Shogun 2. The last minimap of Numenor they showed off brings up new questions of what a setting can be expected in the end ^^

Mini-campaign - factions and starting position

Blue Wizard Mod

After some time of waiting, pallandoya has finally released version 0.14 of the mod. We hope his Betatester has done a good job and it doesn't need a lot of fixes for now. The few screenshots look promising, so maybe take a look at the release here

Total War: Rise of Mordor

With all these other mods being active in development, the Total War: Rise of Mordor - Development Team has of course also to show of their activity and it has become a pretty nice development log they wrote, you can read into it here

Black Nmenrean Chest Piece G

Rise of Mordor: Submod

And as long as the mothermod is active in development, the submod for it will be too. Version 1.6 has found it's way into moddb, so maybe you want to give it a try

Third Age: Reforged

Team Reforged also released two map packs, The Shire Map Pack and The East Map Pack. Give them a try when you have the mod installed anyway ^^

Age of the Ring

After the big release of version 4.0 the Age of the Ring Development Team is showing off some of their recent work, out of which the Gwanthaur is... interesting. I am not sure yet what to think about that unit :D

Fortress of Dol GuldurGwanthaur

CK2: Middle Earth Project (CK2:MEP)

Here version 0.827 has been released. The development team is also looking for people who are well version in the Lore of Middle Earth. For more details, have a look here

Blood in The West

A little bit surprising but ivanhoe95 seems still to be active a bit. At least he indicates that he will work on more factions while showing of the new world map at his Mount & Blade: Warband mod ^^

FINAL 1.0 world map sneak-peak {W.I.P.}

The two teams working on a LotR-game on different engines, The Battle for Middle-Earth: Reforged on Unreal Engine 4 and World of Middle Earth - WOME on Unity are also showing some progress, latter one in a new development update while at the first one just a new screenshot is shown off

King Thranduil

Also the sixth interview with Unreal_NeoX for the TMC Modder's Interviews Series is online and can be read here in case you haven't had a look at it yet ^^

That's it again for today. If I have forgotten to show off the recent progress of some of your favourite mod teams, don't forget to comment about them below. I will mention them then in the next newsarticle. Feel also free to join the Tolkien Modding Community Discord! Have all a nice day!
