It's been a while since we had anything happen with this mod that we could really share and it is taking me a lot longer to get things worked out than with the first mod, BUT i think i can say some good progress has been made and i finally feel that im getting a freespace feel in the gameplay.
That, of course, is my lone opinion. So i am going to release a raw demo of the mod with only the GTA + (sins races) to get some feedback and give me time to get the other races up to speed. The release will be limited in terms of abilities and tech to research and still needs lots of finishing work on UI textures, balancing, voices, etc, but will give players a feel for where this is going and hopefully help to make it a better experience.

just to let everyone know i am creating a freespace 1 mod for sins.
Is it possible to take over the mod and continue it without permission of orginal author (Only if the author does not respond to attempt to contact)?
It would be a great loss if this mod could not arise to final version.
I rewritten all data from
Hard-light.net
to all ships and weapons in this mod (and reduce some for example Hecate hull is reduced from 100.000 to 10.000)to balance sins races with terr and vasudansand the reslut is great.
Great potential is in this thing, as someone already mentioned earlier.

Yeah, your mod for homeworld 2 is great :).
This looks very promising but it looks like that author leave it :/ Some balance between fs2 and sins races would be great thing. Adding shivans and some more speed to ships would also improve gameplay.
I hope author will continue his work, a lot of people will be gratefull for it.
