It's been a while since we had anything happen with this mod that we could really share and it is taking me a lot longer to get things worked out than with the first mod, BUT i think i can say some good progress has been made and i finally feel that im getting a freespace feel in the gameplay.

That, of course, is my lone opinion. So i am going to release a raw demo of the mod with only the GTA + (sins races) to get some feedback and give me time to get the other races up to speed. The release will be limited in terms of abilities and tech to research and still needs lots of finishing work on UI textures, balancing, voices, etc, but will give players a feel for where this is going and hopefully help to make it a better experience.

do you think you can make the ships move a bit faster? i do like the in system jump but i think that should only be meant for your command and not an automatic thing. cause it takes for FREAKING EVER for ships to go through one system to another. and it would be cool for the ships to actually have some time between jumps instead of the INSTANT jump.

If you right click the ability you can turn it off. I recommend this when defending a grav well to prevent your ships from auto attacking and getting wiped out by an enemy fleet.

If the abilites aren't on auto the ai doesn't use them very well or at all. sins ai sucks, and maybe my ability making also sucks.

You can adjust ships speeds when you start a game. big ships in freespace didnt move very fast(unless jumping). Compared to fighters they were almost stationary. Try out the higher speed setting and let me know if thats too fast/slow for you. maybe i should move the current normal speed to be the slow one, will have a look but not for the next release, which should be up shortly.

if you want to change it just go to the Gameplay.constants file and change the physics speed there. takes 2 minutes.

ok update time. sorry but the last 3 weeks have been insanely frustrating. I had the vasudans about 60% done but introduced a late game mini-dumping bug that i could not for the life of me find until this evening. of course its obvious and silly and simple. oh well.

so as of now i have to finish filling out the tech tree and add the voice files to the ships. and of course a whack load of texture mismatches to fix, good times.

i figure 2 to 3 weeks and i should be able to get a new version of the mod out with 2 races, decent tech trees and fixed starbases. yay!

Gatta say love your mod alot only 1 request if you can shorten the Map alot like to the basic Map size cus the gameplay seems forever to play so please shorten the map :3

you can acctualy go into the mods gameinfo folder, and mss with the mod quite a bit. I made ships faster, less colldown, smaller maps, and it plays alot faster. Still cant fix the Arcadia having 0/0 helth though
