The No More Room in Hell mod is a total conversion modification for the game Half-Life 2. It pits a small group of human players against a overwhelming horde of undead, flesh eating zombies. The mod takes place in a small mid-western city in the United States. There, the humans must try to escape the city alive by any means necessary. This means that the use of vehicles will be crucial to survival against the undead.

The mod is co-op, which means that you will be playing side by side with other people from around the world to fight the zombies, which are computer controlled NPCs. Because the mod is using Half-Life 2's Source gaming engine, we hope to make this one of the scariest and most frightening mods to date.

In this modification we plan to use the full extent of Half-Life 2's physics for ultimate game play. To put this in example form we have plans for a wooden bat that will break after heavy use. We also plan on taking advantage of the advanced map sizes for large cities and open areas, even though most the game is planned to be urban combat.

Todays update brought to you by Dman757 & Coleman

Progressing Smoothly

This past week we had two new members join our team. As a prop modeler, Meotwister has joined us from the Interlopers community, he has already created a nice newspaper stand which you can see a screen shot of below. Second, the one man mod team Dec1234 who created/is creating "The Mortewood Plaza"  HL:2 Zombie mod has joined our team to help with programming.

Prop, Texture, and Character artists wanted

I would also like to mention that we are still on the look out for prop and texture artists as well as another character artist or animator. Details on the job listed here.

Finally we have a screenshot of Northway a map by Nathan "nay0r" Goulden:

Nice work! Dont let this project die! Seriously! I have waited forever for something like this to come! And yes i have tried L4D But i like slow zombies more actually. L4D is too intense, i fainted once when i got off my chair and i walked to the kitchen. seriously, i just collaped and hit my head. The next thing i knew was that i was lying on the floor and my head hurt :( Curse L4D!!!!!!

Gun ideas:
1. Duel wielded mini uzis ( can have single or duel)
2. Duel weilded pistols (single or duel)
3. CHAINSAW
4. Extremley gory shotgun
5. axe
6. fists/feet
7. The basics... Rifle, Sniper rifle, grenades, etc.
8. WAY BETTER WEAPONS THAN L4D! THOSE GUNS SUCK!

I notice that weapon making is an incredibly difficult process... But still, make as many as you can without it being overwhelming! :D And youre going to change the zombie skin, right? You cant just have one guy...

We have our entire list of weapons configured to be very realistic as a random individual on the street. There are no crazy weapons or "dual wielding"

Our list includes numerous common handguns, hunting rifles and shotguns, sporting rifles, and a few military and police armaments.

A chainsaw is included. It requires fuel and produces a lot of noise resulting in it becoming a zombie magnet. Keep in mind that this is a survival mod, not a slaughter fest. It is the complete opposite of Left 4 Dead.

They are going for a bit more of a realistic approach. Not super-uber realism, but no dual wielding. Also, so you think the average man could dual wield pistols and be effective? I don't think many military people can even do it.

They are basing weapon use on what is available to the average man, and what the average man can do with the weapons. If you can show me 10 videos of regular people dual wielding uzi's and hitting a target 10 feet away with most of the bullets, you got me convinced, until then, I think we can stick without uzis.

sidenote: you cant just find uzi's somewhere. They are an Israeli weapon that is used by the military rarely. The only way you might find one is from the house of a gangster that got the gun illegally.

All the other suggestions seem valid though.

Melee weapons will take a majority of the arsenal, with guns (common ones at that) taking a *very* small portion. Ammo will be very rare as well.

sorry I didnt see the screenshots... Love the hammer :D, this looks incredible, like a slower-zombie version of L4D... And I can bareley believe this was made with HL2 graphics... It seriously looks like a L4D mod! But you still need a few new zombie skins... I love how it takes place at daytime, there are so few games or mods that do that!
