So 1.08 is set is planned to come out later tonight if testing goes well. For those of you who can't wait a few hours we have a beta branch live up on steam which you can find out how to access here

While you wait we've compiled a list of a few features you can expect to see with this update.


New Official Maps

We've had a number of requests for new objective maps so for this update we've included 3 brand new objective maps: nmo_Brooklyn, nmo_Cleopas & nmo_Zephyr. Also for those survival mode fans out there we've included the survival map nms_Midwest.



New Characters

We're happy to show the three new additions to the NMRiH character family: Butcher, Badass & Roje! It's been a long time in the making and we still have a few potential characters in the works but those of you who've been following us a while know we run on ValveTime.



New Weapon - FN FAL

Even with the large number of other content features we've managed to include a brand new weapon to the game the FN FAL. 



New Difficulty Modes

Difficulty modes has been on our todo list for a while. Finally we've got a new "Casual" mode for players who want an easier play experience with Unlimited respawning and faster/improved respawn token system. We only made one small change to the "Classic Mode" survival game type, which is that respawn tokens persist between waves.



New Voice Sets

A very special thanks goes out to Pugman & Chippants of PugmanPlays. They created a two player lets play a little while ago (which you can watch here) and we liked it so much we decided to get in contact with them. Long story short they recorded our two newest voicesets!

meh, instead of having almost unlimited player respawns in casual mode, i´d rather see a "no-respawning zombies" mode.

Zombies don't respawn if you clear out an area already.

so sortof a "hunt" mode where you need to clear out the zombies in an area, like a cleanup?

would work, but the whole idea of the respawning is to simulate the "endless horde of the dead", so unless they spawn an absolutely huge number of zombies at once on a large map, it might be too easy to be worth creating an entire new mode

just my two cents tho

Group up with people from the Steam Community group, most people who bother to use it are quite mature and have an actual interest in playing the game properly.

can i just make note how much i love that you not only keep this game/mod going with updates, but also interact and such with the players? its nice and not enough modders/developers do it, i feel like i'm actually being listened to, thank you

(also the FN FAL sights are very obscuring, and its not very clear what part should be used for longer range aiming)

Ah yeah I know what you mean with the FAL sights -- they are fairly accurate to real world, just takes a bit of getting used to!
I find it crazy that some devs don't interact with the people that play their games... it helps them make a better game. Sometimes it's just the little suggestions like yours that can really make the experience shine, something you'd otherwise miss without that input from the players! On top of that, you guys are generally speaking a pretty cool bunch.

I first heard about this mod on a very recent PC Gamer (US) podcast and as a zombie entertainment enthusiast couldn't pass it up looking in to it. I have been through the available maps, on the few servers that pop up in the server list, and this is a fantastic zombie mod because it will make you concerned by zombies again and not just because the ammo is sparse. The zombies are tough to put down with anything less than hit to their dome. Its often better to try to run past the zombies than engage…
