So 1.08 is set is planned to come out later tonight if testing goes well. For those of you who can't wait a few hours we have a beta branch live up on steam which you can find out how to access here

While you wait we've compiled a list of a few features you can expect to see with this update.

New Official Maps

We've had a number of requests for new objective maps so for this update we've included 3 brand new objective maps: nmo_Brooklyn, nmo_Cleopas & nmo_Zephyr. Also for those survival mode fans out there we've included the survival map nms_Midwest.

New Characters

We're happy to show the three new additions to the NMRiH character family: Butcher, Badass & Roje! It's been a long time in the making and we still have a few potential characters in the works but those of you who've been following us a while know we run on ValveTime.

New Weapon - FN FAL

Even with the large number of other content features we've managed to include a brand new weapon to the game the FN FAL.

New Difficulty Modes

Difficulty modes has been on our todo list for a while. Finally we've got a new "Casual" mode for players who want an easier play experience with Unlimited respawning and faster/improved respawn token system. We only made one small change to the "Classic Mode" survival game type, which is that respawn tokens persist between waves.

New Voice Sets

A very special thanks goes out to Pugman & Chippants of PugmanPlays. They created a two player lets play a little while ago (which you can watch here) and we liked it so much we decided to get in contact with them. Long story short they recorded our two newest voicesets!

Well I have played some recently and I have found some stuff that ***** up cooperative gameplay. For example, I jumped onto a place full of zombies and my friends just stands there. They dont know how to push too. Why not adding some HUD alert display so they know someone is in trouble or just a huge help button if you are in trouble. These incompetent teammates is really troubling and cannot let you just win.

Well you can simply explain controls to them. It's not like they are hard or something

if they suck they suck, you can stick to the server where good ones usually join and play with them.

Well time to make a review. The game is so far fantastic! It pretty much shows you how a real zombie apocalypse will be. Running zombies are more dangerous than other zombie games depict them and supplies are pretty low. You will also get infected rather than just other games that says you were immune without any reason. Things would get really chilling when you were about to reach the rescue, and you sure have to stick with your teammates all the time. The things I would critic is that how sluggish your push is and how ineffective it was. You usually could push a person like really fast but it took about a second to do it. It isn't fast enough to push oncoming zombies that lunges at you so it's kind of ineffective. The running is also kind of slow. Why not trying to set the run speed based on how many stuff you have in the inventory? Because that could help for a lot of stuffs especially when you were just started playing in a map. And some issues I found is that when you were surrounded by zombies and they started lunging at you. I've pushed one that looks like the one that was lunging at me but I am still stuck. It could be useful if a staggering zombie could push at least another zombie or add some knockback to them when they got shot or hit. Thanks, and I hope this is useful.

Improve movement and those players stamina cuz its not even near realistic few swings and ur tired...
Even my little brother of 5 can swing a machete and not get tired after 5 swings.

Anyways... thats the only bad thing i can say about this mod, But this game is really cool! i like the guns and the weapons and the Objective maps would also be better to make it harder :)

I really hope you guys will change the Movement other than that its perfect now thanks for this mod and Goodbye!

Swinging a machete is easy, swinging it into a human skull fat with to kill it and pulling it out to do it again is not.

And please don't have your 5 year old brother test that one out.

I first heard about this mod on a very recent PC Gamer (US) podcast and as a zombie entertainment enthusiast couldn't pass it up looking in to it. I have been through the available maps, on the few servers that pop up in the server list, and this is a fantastic zombie mod because it will make you concerned by zombies again and not just because the ammo is sparse. The zombies are tough to put down with anything less than hit to their dome. Its often better to try to run past the zombies than engage…
