Patch 1.07.9 Now Available on Steam

1.07.9 is finally out. It introduces a new weapon, a new survival map, a new objective map, and a few dozen fixes. Also, you can now quickly find servers you can start playing right away in. Click "Add common tags..." on the bottom right of the server browser and select "Spawning:Active" to only list servers where there are at least 25 seconds left for spawning.

Future Plans

We haven't talked much about the future plans of NMRiH, so let's do that real quick, shall we? Our top priority right now is useability. We realize that people are frustrated with too much downtime during death and waiting for new rounds to begin. In 1.07.9 we introduced the very first step (a small one albeit) in making the game easier to play, thus more fun. The common tags mentioned above. This is just a small thing and we have bigger changes planned, primarily to Objective mode. We have listened to the feedback over this, but if you'd like to further discuss it head over to our Forum or just post your concerns and suggestions in the comments below!

As for second priorities, new content is always being created. We have a couple new features that are close to done, but we don't want to make any promises or tease anything until we have them actually in the game and ready.

Feedback, good or bad, is still feedback. That's why we all take the time to read the Steam Forums and our ModDB page to see what we're doing right and more importantly, doing wrong. Some of them have valid points and arguments (the others are fun to read).

Otherwise I personally think we did something right if people still play and talk about our ****** mod after 3 years of its initial release. Better to be talked about, than to not be talked about at all.

Yeah well here is the kicker in the nuts Smiley, the fact that YOU DONT want to change the mod is what makes it garbage in other words waste of times and defently boring (same maps same weapons same **** same animation SAME ******* terrible GAMEPLAY along with controls) Grant it this is a half life engine mod so you cant expect nothing huge from it but as you say 3 years has gone past and nothing huge has been changed. Project is still in one place after 3 ******* years and yet **** is the same. No wonder you find in thoes negative comments the words **** all the time. Same **** here same **** there **** and **** everywhere, maps and the rest of the features along with the gameplay are the same. The theme gets boring with everyday and year. Not really going to bite, but I will point out that a huge base of hl2 mod players don't all have new computers.

I'm personally glad that people are still supporting the hl2 community with great player created games.

So if you don't like the game don't play it, there will still be many players like me that love hl2 and appreciate the work of NMRIH and other modders. So I guess I must be a ...... looser*

But at least I know how to spell loser.

I first heard about this mod on a very recent PC Gamer (US) podcast and as a zombie entertainment enthusiast couldn't pass it up looking in to it. I have been through the available maps, on the few servers that pop up in the server list, and this is a fantastic zombie mod because it will make you concerned by zombies again and not just because the ammo is sparse. The zombies are tough to put down with anything less than hit to their dome. Its often better to try to run past the zombies than engage…
