Carriers is a multiplayer Half-Life 2 mod being created by the Shellshock Gaming development team. It's based around a modern-day zombie apocalypse, where players must work together to survive. But now the luck of the carriers has run out, and their immune systems are failing.

The vote is now finished. After a total of 60 votes (excluding the votes from the same IPs), a winner has emerged.

With 36 votes, this is the colour correction that will come with the finished map. Personally, I expected Option 1 to win, but the champion fits the scene quite well. Thanks to everyone who voted, and apologies to those who voted for either of the other two colour corrections.
This won't be our last poll - community involvement helps a lot. It's helped us add on to maps, or improve existing features. If you ever have a suggestion that you'd like to see in Carriers, feel free to say. It might not be added, but we appreciate all the ideas that you can give us.

You should've commented on the news post.
Why would you vote for the one you don't find best?
i cant decide,but voting for 2
i think it will give it a better atmosphere
:D
Make sure you vote in the poll.
I dont understand the mechanics of this game. So some of the players may be zombies? Could turn onto zombies at anytime? Is this a game where only 1 player starts as zombie and then turns the others one by one until theres no one left on the human team?
Please explain thanks....
From my perspective this is how it works:
All the players are infected but not zombies.Players are tasked to do *I* think a win mission but must also maintain at a pace that beats the timer getting pills or else they turn in to zombies or die (Idk if you can transform into a zombie).
So you have to be constantly thinking about finding pills and keeping an eye on the timer...
Wonder if players on the same team have to race each other to a pills spawn. That would make things interesting...
bloodnest is correct. The players must complete the maps objective while also keeping their infection rate down. There are antidotes found around the maps, in small containers, that remove X% infection. They work similar to Explosive/Incendiary Ammo in Left 4 Dead 2, as all players can take an elixir out of a container, but can only take 1 elixir per container.
The race idea wouldn't work using these containers, but there's another type of antidote. It can be carried and held like a weapon, but can't actually be used as one. When you find one in a map, you pick it up and it's added to your inventory. MOUSE1 will let you use it on yourself, lowering your infection, and MOUSE2 will let you throw it to assist fellow survivors. These antidotes are weaker than the larger ones in cases, but due to them being transportable, it could make an interesting gamemode.
Did not know, but there is a film actually called Carriers as well, with a virus, no zombies though, saw it on TV last week.
Had to have a look back to see if it was mentioned here :p
Me and brandonsh were looking to see if the name was taken a few weeks ago, noticed it too.
If they want to sue us, they'll have to get through a gorillian zombies.
