Having some trouble with music playback. I don't hear anything in the background no matter what map I'm on. I'm using vkQuake sourceport with Quake on Steam(not the Kex Engine of course)

Great mod that really fixes some annoying flaws. Enemies no longer feel like damage sponges, which often frustrated me. I'm still at Port of Adia, so I'm not sure as to its comparative difficulty.

My suggested changes:
1. Find a way to map Special Weapon and Hunter Cannon action to keys in the menu
2. Fix the strange bug/feature(?) where I could only use secondary attacks while standing still
3. Have a dedicated key for you to dash in the direction you're moving

1.3 crashes when it starts loading map06 and possibly 07 in latest version of GZDoom.

I fixed my framerate issue by updating to the latest GZDoom. Mine ran like crap on my high-end PC until I did so.

Had great fun with 2 levels done so far.

The biggest improvement you could make is adding more friction when landing. Jumping on small platforms can be a pain if you're not precise with tapping directional keys. Hence why you see Half-Life and Metroid Prime with large platforms. Adding friction helps players focus more on moving forward through the level instead of slowing down and save-scumming.

At the first large level, when I open the portal, it throws a ton of fast, high damage enemies when you're not at full health, placed in awkward, hard-to-notice places. At this point, I got frustrated because I wanted to be better eased in to what to expect in the level.

I also noticed that I can't load any save but one at a specific point.

I love the amount of content and features in the mod and want the pacing, stability and balance to match that. Any hope for a patch?

Is anyone besides me wishing that a more traditional healthpack system would be implemented here, at least as an option?
Would you try some mechanic that makes you stand out from the crowd more? I mean, I feel like recharging health is getting old now, as are many of the features from CoD & Halo.

Could you add in an option for the health pack style instead of rechargable health? That's something I'm just getting really tired of in games. Heck you could even utilize them the Duke Nukem way by having one in reserve in case you're in a pinch.
