Thanks a lot! :)
Amazing art style! tracking!
Thanks for the feedback!
While many of those things are by design, we will have a look at what we can do :)
For example: we had a 3D animated hand (it's still in the tutorial level) but we decided to remove it for the combat. Since you use your own hands to cast magic runes with Leap Motion, there's no point in having a 3D hand in front of you, it's not immersive. We want to give the player the feeling HE is de druid, and not just controlling a druid avatar.
Furthermore we where aiming for dark claustrophobic settings. Still I'll have a look at what the beta testers have to say about it :) Thanks again!
Why should it be free?
Finally a WW1 shooter, and on all platforms too (Im a Mac user). Going to try it out and show all my friend.
Maybe, that will depends on how the game gets received.
Thanks Celui en streamdream! What game "genre" would you describe Runes to be?
Yes Its for PC (and Mac) but you need a Leap Motion to play it. Depending on the succes we might port it to other platforms (and maybe a non-leapmotion version)
Looks like this is for the US only, worth mentioning on an international website imo!
Great! When can we expect the mac version?
Why not include both versions in the game? The new one being an "upgrade".
I just wonder, why not make the menu in then same 'sketched'-style of the original menu sketch? I loved how that looked!
Cant wait to try this on my Ipad, looks great and fun too! *watching
Looks like a lot of fun!
Have you seen off-limits?
I've added a link to the mod on my facebook blog, I hope this gets some extra people interested in playing OL :)
Thats very motivating, thanks! ;)
Thanks for the feedback, we've experimented a bit with toon shaders in the past, but we didn't think they looked that great. We might experiment with it a bit more in the future.
Bedankt, je kan de demo de komende weken spelen op de Exit tentoonstelling in C-Mine ;)
We hebben wat hulp gekregen van een programmeur, gelukkig was er voor de visuele demo nog niet zo veel moeten programeren.
I think the most important thing to remember when creating an education game is that a game ALWAYS has to be fun. So we mainly aim to create a fun game, the education aspect is an extra layer.
at zou wel eens kunnen ja. ;)
Ik ben master student, laatste jaar dus. Bedankt!
How would you now? Read reviews! Get informed! It's not that hard...
It's also not so hard to find reliable sources, sites like metacritic.com might give you a nice hint too!
Often you just know what games are going to be good, you just have to make a personal selection. The problem with pirates is that they don't make a selections, they just want everything!
Looks and sounds badass already!
combat looks fantastic, it seems to have a nice "feel" to it!
For questions about the DRM and shipping fee you should contact Iceberg Interactive or Vertigo Games. I'm just the news poster dude ;) , unfortunately I can't answer those questions for you.
