The Ultimate Universe Mod for Star Trek Legacy is a collaboration of many individuals driven to make the best of Star Trek Legacy. While it has been a few years since our UU2.2 release, in honor of the 9th Anniversary of the Release of Star Trek Legacy we are planning a little something. While not on the scale of our previous work, we hope it adds something to the community. As to when, we aren't sure yet but hoping for a December release to be ready to be released on the 9th Anniversary of Star Trek Legacy's release.

Ultimate Universe 2.3 (as we are currently calling it) is still progressing. Initially we weren't counting on a very large release. With some great contributions by Kophjaeger coming in last week, the release has grown greatly. This has the unfortunate side effect of delaying the release due to there being significantly more integration and testing, and putting me onto other duties taking me away from the other content I was preparing for release.

I think in the end anyone who plays the new release will consider it well worth the delay. It's been years since our last release and this one is shaping up to likely be our second biggest release since UU was introduced (size wise).

As we get a bit further along, I will be posting more detail on expected content. Right now it is a bit to early to detail what we will be including, but here is a picture of one of the ships expected to make an appearance.

We will also be integrating the XI Pack release into this build. There are some expected changes to the original XI release content including a notable model change.

As to "When are you releasing the update?", that will be followed by our normal, "When it is ready." response. I can't give you more than that at this time. There is a lot of work and time involved in making sure that we release the best quality content that we can. Things are progressing well, and I'm really looking forward to what this release is shaping up to be.

I would like to identify for you a flaw in one ship's actions as played in any type of tactical battle. But to first mention....I'd like to compliment the team of creators for redesigning nearly a completely new and much more exciting game to play. The ship....in the NEXT GENERATION ERA is the battleship that looks like the tv Next Generation s ship but with a 3rd engine. When in battle.....firing phasers....the power indicator remains at full....never dropping.....just lock on to an enemy ship.......and hold the phasers key down until the enemy ship explodes. But against many ships......it has weak shields for a battleship. And haven't tested the uu 2.2 federation ship battlefest to see if it still crashes at the 4th ship being engaged?.....it did that in uu 2.0.

I'm assuming you have Star Trek: Legacy with mods. If you could please tell me how did you get your mods to work? I downloaded all of the mods that I needed. When I open the game with mods downloaded, it immediately crashes. I need help please! I keep getting error messages.

Great mod guys! I always felt like Legacy was missing something.
that being said, I'd like to know if there is a way to recenter the ships,
its kinda jarring and wonky to see the Enterprise turn on the axes of its right warp nacelle.
other than that I have one other criticism, most of the time i hear the voices of ether the TNG crew or the TOS crew for the player's primary ship, but not for Voyager, Defiant, or the NX-01 Enterprise, its also kinda weird hearing said crews in anything but the Enterprises.

if you go into the Ultimate Universe Tools application that comes with the mod, and look on the right hand side of the main screen, I believe that there is an option to change camera to center vs. on the side. Then when you have the settings the way that you prefer, just hit the "engage" button in the lower right-hand corner to launch the game with your selected settings.

I'd also like to know if there is away to change the Defiant's cannons, they seem to act more like phasers rather than ... well cannons... this is kind of the same for some klingon ships from what i've noticed.
