The Ultimate Universe Mod for Star Trek Legacy is a collaboration of many individuals driven to make the best of Star Trek Legacy. While it has been a few years since our UU2.2 release, in honor of the 9th Anniversary of the Release of Star Trek Legacy we are planning a little something. While not on the scale of our previous work, we hope it adds something to the community. As to when, we aren't sure yet but hoping for a December release to be ready to be released on the 9th Anniversary of Star Trek Legacy's release.
Ultimate Universe 2.3 (as we are currently calling it) is still progressing. Initially we weren't counting on a very large release. With some great contributions by Kophjaeger coming in last week, the release has grown greatly. This has the unfortunate side effect of delaying the release due to there being significantly more integration and testing, and putting me onto other duties taking me away from the other content I was preparing for release.
I think in the end anyone who plays the new release will consider it well worth the delay. It's been years since our last release and this one is shaping up to likely be our second biggest release since UU was introduced (size wise).
As we get a bit further along, I will be posting more detail on expected content. Right now it is a bit to early to detail what we will be including, but here is a picture of one of the ships expected to make an appearance.
We will also be integrating the XI Pack release into this build. There are some expected changes to the original XI release content including a notable model change.
As to "When are you releasing the update?", that will be followed by our normal, "When it is ready." response. I can't give you more than that at this time. There is a lot of work and time involved in making sure that we release the best quality content that we can. Things are progressing well, and I'm really looking forward to what this release is shaping up to be.

I cannot get the game to play any multiplayer at all it eathier crashes the game or sends me back to the menu.... how can i fix this ? all firewall and ports are open.. Do i need gamespy arcade to play this game online ?
Any help would be greatly appericatedm, please send your response to partiesplayin@hotmail.com
Multiplayer only worked on XP. It will not work on Vista, 7, 8 or 10 etc. As to if it will work XP any longer, I don't know if the company shutdown the multiplayer service or not at this point, it would be possible.
What about this?

small problem. this is the first mod i have installed, and the only, but my game crashes on launch anyway. if you have any answers, contact me via thunderclaw98@gmail.com
also it says access violation in the error
I am on the first mission and I keep hearing Archer repeat the reallocation of energy line and the dialog boxes keep showing up. How can I fix it?
As much as I love this mod, the lack of recent updates is disheartening, because it seems to have been left in a rough state. I have a reasonably good computer (i7 3770, Nvidia 660Ti, 8GB of RAM, etc), far exceeding the system requirements of even the vanilla game, but it seems when looking towards enemy ships in any game mode, the FPS drops to well below 1.
Ultra late response but same thing happens to me. Game drops to what seems like 1 fps and stutters/lags like crazy. I have an i7 6700k, 16GB ram, and an Nvidia GTX 1080. I should not be having these problems. It's totally unplayable unless I just never move the camera towards any other ship. So is there no way around this other than putting my graphics settings to potato quality?
Late reply, But I am also having a GPU throttling issue as well and my system also is well above the minimum req. Yet I still get massive FPS hits for so reason, this is being ran with a fresh install on a Phenom II X4 955BE @ 3.8GHz, 8GB of ram and a R9 270X with 4GB of ram. I don't recall this issue with the game stock either. But this issue is almost game breaking.
Extra late reply, i also have an overkill for an pc, i7 3930k, 32 GB ram, gtx 690.
Im specially getting a huge fps drop whenever i bring up the radial menu with F and try to Scan, or use anything in that wheel, the game pretty much comes to an halt. until i release the F button, and everything is normal again. wich is rather game breaking for me, since this game involvees alooot of scanning...
While you can these days play Legacy at lower graphics settings on integrated video, it can still blow away any video card and processor combination I have come across when the resolution and graphics quality settings are set to the best.
The only Fix is to pull all of the high poly ships and high resolution textures to prevent anyone from ever playing with them. That and pull all the new special effects and limit the resolutions to play at etc. Which I doubt many people would like to see happen.
While UU has some retxtures (which are often 4 times the data of the stock ones per texture), many of the ships are much higher poly counts than the stock ships as well as the textures are massively higher resolution and density on them. Ships can be easily 5 times the poly count as the stock ships and in many cases much much higher. So let's say 1 ship is 5 times the poly, looking at 1 ship in UU can be like looking at 5 ships in Vanilla Legacy. If you look as some of the highest poly ships in the game such as the XI Pack ships they are just massive compared to any stock ship. Also the additional visual effects added, the choices of higher resolutions than stock Legacy all add up to "no you don't have enough power". While we try to balance visual quality with gameplay, that really is what the graphics settings in the game are to give you options as to which way you want to go. I know first hand that a Geforce 6xx series even a GTX can't handle UU 2.2 at full visual quality at the highest resolution your lcd can display at unless it is an old 15" at 1024x768, which is unlikely.
