This release includes updates to a fair number of existing ships to add features to them such as breaking nacelles with plasma effects, animated bussards, reduced torpedo circling, bump maps, and some torpedo circling prevention work.
There are also a number of new ships, Wagaugusto's Olympic Class. Phoenix's TOS Proxima which was released to public in December is now included. The ole Marauder from BC ported by Muldrf with Acidfluxxbass's take on it's textures and Miri and Gan's effects and weapons. Galaxy X (Evolution) Class, The Icarus Class. There are also numerous ships by Rudianos. Additional texture work by Gan and Acidfluxxbass on various ships. Great new effects work by Miri as usual. New Destruction Damage work by Gan making it a bad idea to get to close to a dying ship.

Ultimate Universe 2.2 is a patch to Ultimate Universe 2.0 and not a stand alone release.
Installation: (please see note on the XI Pack Compatibility)

UU 2.2 is an update to UU2.0. This means you must have UU2.0 installed properly before installing UU2.2.
Start with a clean unmodded copy of Star Trek Legacy. Next install UU2.0 Part 1 of 2, and then install UU2.0 Part 2 of 2. Finally Install UU2.2.
UU 2.2 includes all fixes that were previously included with the 2.0 Minpatches, they are no longer required if you go strait to 2.2 your fine. Also they can be installed before 2.2 and not cause problems.
Compatibility notice for the Star Trek XI Pack:

UU2.2 is compatible with the UU2.0 Version of the Star Trek XI Pack. The XI Pack must be installed/reinstalled AFTER UU2.2 or your game will crash on opening. If you've installed 2.2 over an UU-Installation with the JJTrek Pack, you have to reinstall the JJTrek Pack, otherwise Legacy won't launch.
FekLeyrTarg, thanks for posting that. I missed noting that, sleep deprivation and all it slipped my mind that the XI Pack would cause a problem until after it was released and came up.
I'll look into updating the readme with an "Installation" section noting that.
Keeping getting random crashes, debug errors? Nice content pity the mods unstable for me.
"Truely" Random crashes are unlikely, beyond game engine or system problems. In Legacy a mod is either done right or wrong, it will crash if coded wrong, it will not crash if coded right. Crashes are limited to incorrectly coded content, meaning a certain ship if not setup right will crash, possibly only if it tries to 1. Turn 2. Move 3. Fire Phasers 4. Fire Torpedos 5 is displayed in fleet selection 6 is even in the game killing Legacy completely. Certain maps could have defects that cause a crash generally immediately at launch before you see anything. crashes aren't just random in general they are content specific, like playing the same map under any circumstances can crash, playing with a specific ship on your side of the enemy side etc. Now a specific Mission might crash part way through, but it would always crash at that point. Anything "random" that can't be tracked down to a bugged ship or map or script will more likely be something to do with your computer. Keep in mind there might be more than 1 ship that doesn't work or 1 map that doesn't work, or it could be a combination of having 8 of one ship type on a map where 7 (or less) of that specific ship on the same map won't crash.
If there is a driver or some other issue with a system, it's possible (and likely) UU will cause it to show up quicker or more often than stock Legacy. This being the higher system requirements and load that UU has over stock Legacy due to the more detailed content.

while i'm at the install it says that the directory 'C:\Program Files(x86)\ Bethesda Softworks\ Star Trek Legacy' does not exist, but it does, it wants to create a new one, what do I do?

It's just a missing "e" at bethesda when it wants to install! It shows 'C:\Program Files(x86)\ Bethsda Softworks\ Star Trek Legacy'! So you just have to correct the "Bethsda" and then it'll should be fine!

Is this going to require a previous install of this mod? Or is 2.2 standalone?
As is listed if you hit the "read more+" on the Description this is an Update for 2.0, not a standalone release.
This mod is awesome, but the campaign is completely bugged. In the first mission when I go to rescue the Vulcan ship the captain is stuck in a loop saying "we can travel the distance faster if we transfer all power to the engines", and when I destroy the Romulan ship the game crashes with this error:

Somehow, by loading it just before destroying the last Romulan ship I progress to the next mission, which works, but then the station and the ship that I have to protect are hostile. The rest of the game works pretty well, it is an amazing spaceship admiring simulator thing with this mod.

It is expecting you to transfer power, if you did not it may cause the mission script to fail unexpectedly. While after the in term years since release I do know the first mission was tested to be functional on UU 2.2. I can not say for sure all of the campaign is right and I know of some minor issues that are likely to happen in the campaign, I know I played the first mission on a number of occasions without incident. I also know that sometimes something just goes wrong with the campaign missions one time then the net time playing it through it is fine for not easily explainable reason. You may also have a bad file in your installation causing some of the special effects used in the ship explosion to crash, in that cse you might need to do a fresh install to fix it.

Yeah single player missions are unplayable with this mod. Tutorial is bugging out a lot ,sometimes even on first starting mission. Tutorial would start poping up endlessly ,and preventing you to play any further. Its just bad

It sounds like you are missing textures or have a video card driver issue. You might have to start over with a fresh install of legacy from the DVD. Then test it, if that works install uu 2.0 part 1 and 2 and test again. If that works install the 2.2 build 2 and try again.
When installing UU be sure UU 2.0 Part 1, UU 2.0 Part 2 And UU 2.2 build 2 all install to the Same "correct" folder. There is a typo in the path for the 2.2 update installer it goes to Bethsda instead of Bethesda , and. The 2.0 installers may try to each install to different folders if you are running a 64bit OS, which is far more likely these days than when it was first released.
And when in doubt (or even when not in doubt) it is best to read the Readme and Instructions in the installers thoroughly. It is easy to miss important instructions or details in them. While I would like to make a nice fresh new set of installers for the mod that all work the same, it is not a simple quick task, or it would have been done years ago.
Uu is not natively compatible with any other mod. If you try to merge it into a copy of Legacy that has other mods already installed, you will very likely have issues, or a completely dead copy of Legacy. The Cjg XI Pack does work with 2.0 and 2.2 if installed per instructions. Individual ships and maps can often be added to UU but not in all cases.

So i got a probleme with the mod the probleme is that i cant select all races
im abele to select the stock races but not the dominion etc what coud be the cause for that ?
Hey guys this is Gan, and I've thought about working some again on legacy. But I have a slight problem. Every time I try to download the mod I get an issue with it not being able to be verified. Leaving me only able to delete the file. I'd like to give the game a go again and maybe work on a few ships. I would appreciate any help.

Clean game with patches , game works. windows 10. Then install ultimate mod 2.0 , apply patch 2.2 , kaboom unhandled exception error , knowledge in dealing with rar/zip/exes which have part x of y and part z of y ,says that they are linked together and will install together. Well, not in this case, bad file naming caused confusion, part 1 of 2 is not linked to part 2 of 2. They both need to be installed, separately

So far, I haven't noticed ships that can cloak taking advantage of that. Kind of makes Balance of Terror wrong...
I love the Ultimate Universe Mod, which is why I hate that no updates have been done to it in almost 12 years. Please update the mod again, add some new features and some bug fixes at least mate. Thankyou for taking the time to read this.

Yeah, got exited about the game, since i found its abandonware, got it, got this 2.0 and 2.2 update, but sadly i am forced to uninstall the game and start again.
You see, i didn't even started the campaign before i install this mod and now i cant play through that, i have the ""we can travel the distance faster if we transfer power to the engines" loop and it makes the campaign unplayable....

So, i was a little bit curious and started viewing a playthrough in YT uploaded at 2021.
Seems this guy knows about the 'transfer power" loop bug
and says he recorded the playthrough playing a vanilla 1st level and moded the game to play the rest of the campaign (says so at the end of the video description)....

As for the bug it self, i noticed 3 thinks so far (in case someone starts debugging).
1) when you reach the asteroid field on the ice planet, the 3 Romulan ships start firing at you immediately as they spawn.
Vanilla firing starts after commander makes 1st hail / contact
2) Tractor Beam does not disengage automatically in the "cutscene" as the 2 ships come out of the nebula and get attacked by the 2 remaining Romulan ships (Vanilla), but you have to manually disengage the tractor beam, or your 2nd ship can't maneuver to attack/defend
3) "we can travel the distance faster if we transfer power to the engines" loop. This starts like a normal "i did something wrong - i'll try again" case, 1-2 seconds after you close the 2 tutorial messages these popup again. then its just chaos, almost every time you click something, popup tutorial is there to stop you, every 0.5sec...
