Description
In real life the commonly known m24/Browning m1000 sniper rifle is delivered in a strong black coating. However, I felt like making a unique camouflaged version for MISERY when I found this awesome image during my online research. I call it "The Green Dragon".
I hope you like it 'cause I think this one is a keeper.

What will be the situation with availability? Is it a one off that will only be available from a certain place such as Nimble or maybe on an important merc in Zaton or Pripyat(Zaton would be better I hate having to play most of the game before being able to get things) or will this be an available model from traders?.
There will be just the one in The Zone and I am not going to tell you where to achieve it.. :)
Actually I already made changes to the textures displayed:
Black duct tape also added around the scope body and red/orange parts on the scope (not really shown) are replaced with light metal grey materials.
Good, I was hoping it would be just the one, I have always felt there should be more uniques in game as stalkers would upgrade and personalise there weapons like in real life. It adds a realistic element.
And I should hope you wont give away secrets like the locations of, or how to get hold of things thats what spoils stalking. I made that mistake when I watched all the U-tube vids showing where things are in other mods.
Davidme, I feel as if we have pretty much the same approach to the game experience and oppinion on immersion. That's why it's cool to have your watchful eye on my development decisions and ideas.
There will be many AK's in The Zone but a Spas12 in a Zaton stash AND the Skadovsk tradeable stock? Not very likely.. That's my direction on weapon availability...
The Green Dragon strikes to kill. I hit a stalker right in the stomach from far way and he was thrown back and dead before he hit the ground.
Ultimate weapon
So, being only included once in the game, will it stay in a trader's inventory forever after it's been sold, be removed from the trader's inventory, or not be tradeable? I'd prefer that it stay in the trader's inventory forever, if possible, so you can buy it back, assuming that no other STALKER wants anything to do with the gun.
Well if you do achieve The Green Dragon and trade it away...
You never know if some other bold stalker has found the cash to ensure himself the unique, well kept and camouflaged bolt action sniper rifle .. ;-)
Well, the only problem I can see is the reload animation. I have seen this one used for most bolt action rifle and it is horrible. Also, bloody great texture :D

The reload animation is actually okay for this one.

Are you sure those animations are ok? I don't know why they go off to the side then because idk anybody who would actually do that in real life. Also, I have never seen Letchik's release any of his animations out to the AMK community even though he is on there. I don't think he will help, I know somebody who has created a new bolt action animation already and is using the TRG (Which currently uses the same animation as on your M24).
This might be the better option if you know someone who has released a decent bolt action animation. I should frequent the AMK forums more often.
He hasn't "Released" it yet but I could just ask him. If I had an account on AMK then I would ask him through there but I will just have to send him a message through Youtube or something.

The animation for the M24 is actually an animation for the TRG22 made by Sin!
I ported a M24 on those anims,and if this is the one i sent to Aaroe,than those are Sin! anims.
Also Letchik has another name on the AMK.
And i believe he does release his animations.
I know spoiling the location will ruin the experience, but could you at least tell me if it will be found outside or inside a building?

GAH! I can't find it! Nearby and West of Yanov. I need something more! Is it in/under/on a notable feature, or under a bush? Inside a building? near a point of interest on the PDA? WHERE IS IT!?!?
The aim gets a bit screwed if upgraded to a 6x scope. Messed up the weapon and ended up not using it anymore.
N.Aaroe You should really hide this in it's own unique stash spot. As I found this by surprise and accident while hunting down usual hidden weapon stash spots on the map. That and the other weapons like that Ump45.
Or at least, maybe randomize it along with the other weapon stashes in the game. As it spoils the experience if you can just get quick easy cash or a good high-quality weapon without having to go through the entire search or usual game play to make enough money to afford it.
