For me you can't beat STALKER. I have tried pretty much every game out there but have found none that put me where this game does. I start playing and get lost in a world that can be both beautiful and terrifying. I remember my first visit to the Yantar lab in SHOC. It was in the early hours of the morning, I was using headphones while sneaking around the lab. The atmosphere had me on the edge of my seat. Ten seconds later something totally unexpected happened and put my heart in my mouth. I paused the game, shaking like a little child and from that moment on for me it has been the stick by which all games are measured. And sadly they just don't measure up. STALKER is a thousand games in one. Set in a constantly changing, evolving world. The only time any two playthroughs are the same is when you hit that ENTER THE ZONE button at the start of the game.

I have not used or tested but these are linked at GSC, All three games are represented so if you get out of memory issues with some mods this may help you. I know nothing about it so I'm just letting you know it is there and you can decide whether to try it or not. (It can't hurt with back-up's)

Hello, It's hard to say which you'll prefer, It's all down to taste. Personally I prefer either SGM 2.0 Geonezis, SGM 2.1 with the add-on patches that are above like the Artifact addon etc or the SGM 2.2 All-in-one which has the weapons pack included aswell as Af3 etc. Personally I don't think much of Eton because aswell as the fact you lose most of the weapon upgrading it also forces you to use options like helmet huds which are options in other versions, I don't see the point in forcing something on the player when it was originally a main menu option. (removing an option and making it a forced feature does not make sense to me) The All-in-one version also keeps the eclipse feature thanks to Cromm Cruac where the merge patches that are available for adding Af3 to the different versions of SGM all remove it for some reason.

Also note there is enough of a difference between SGM 2.0 Geonezis and the newer versions to make it worth playing both. Geonezis more than doubled the amount of quest content added by SGM.

Thank you david, you really are a great person for doing all this. Also I have another question. I seem to be stuck at the main quest, I have to find a way to get into pripyat and I have found some documents but I have no idea how to proceed. I have a map marker thats in pripyat telling me to go to the evac point but I can't figure out how to get there. Did I miss some important document?

I don't want to promote the mod after what he did and his attitude over it but, It's not that hard to fix. It can be fixed by downloading Cromm Cruacs AF3 for SGM2.2. Just autoload it straight on top and it will fix the map errors. It will no longer be all Misery textures but it will be fixed. Don't worry that it says for 2.2 as the extra files simply won't get used. The bloodsuckers wake up because of your footsteps on the metal walking boards. Let him go ahead and get out or you can walk in crouching. As for the Stalker chatter I reuploaded the translation with the dynamic news files. they should of been in it originally as Spaceghost did them a long time ago and I did credit him in the first read me for them but forget to add them. So redo the translation now and it will do the stalker news aswell. From what I can see you can also use some of the files on here with it like to move the Dark valley quest forward. as for the other errors like the fellas getting stuck that he uploaded a pic of I think that might of been a one-off random bug but I don't know for sure.
