Let me start off by saying this: You don’t owe us anything.
The modding community for STALKER is thriving and its fueled on passion, as it should be.
We, the MISERY development team, have a big heart for the STALKER series and everything we’ve made and done is because we love what we do. Some of us have even secured interesting jobs in the gaming industry through this hobby. Friendships have been established and we have all learned and developed our skills because of invaluable feedback from many of you. Sharing our mods and files with the whole world has certainly been the right choice for us!
Most of what we’ve presented to the world has been free and strictly hobby-based. But since we (Misery Dev. Ltd) has also had commercial activities we’ve also had an obligatory annual accounting.
Running Misery Dev. Ltd as a real company has allowed for so much more than what is strictly hobby based.
But unlocking this potential also comes at a cost in relation to hosting, website upkeep, promotion, formal administration, annual accounting and a few other things. Since 2013 all of these costs have been covered by team lead (me), N.Aaroe; out of my own private pockets. This is not a sob story or to appeal to your pity, it’s just info.
Financially, Covid-19 has emptied the cup for me and put me in a position where I am no longer able to cover these monthly expenses.
Donating specifically for a STALKER mod is not allowed; but you can still support MDT with a small donation to help us cover the monthly expenses and to help us preserve our websites, hosting, online data storages and to remain an actual company, which enables us to do keep doing actual commercial and business activities.
Lastly, I would also like to state that I am not particularly proud of this situation. I want to remain very transparent and honest about the circumstances. Every donation will be a help us.

No... just no..
You could have started patreon waaaay back then to aid you in developing the mod. People would understand this move much more. As of right now...well people have moved on, new mods of the same quality have arisen.

Thanks for all your work on Misery. I'm not sure what your opinion on all the "inspiration and continuation" projects was or still is but: I loved Misery 2 when it was released. Later, when "Call of Misery" and then "Anomaly" came out, I was hooked again and am still playing the latter one today.
I thank you for making these projects possible through your creative vision and effectively setting the course for what a modern STALKER experience should be, most of all, in gameplay mechanics — the intertwined features you set up with Misery, the progression-through-gear, the radiation dangers and protection, artifact hunting, hunting, cooking, even the radio alongside so much more still echo in mods today and were only strived for in other games. They set my expectations for an official STALKER 2 if that ever sees the light of day.
All the best to you, maybe, some day, you can team up with the Anomaly team to enter another new stage for STALKER, just like Misery 2.0 did.
