First Strike is a Star Wars total conversion modification for Battlefield 2142. The goal of First Strike is to totally immerse the players into the amazing universe of Star Wars by presenting the most accurate representations of famous Star Wars locales, weapons, and characters, and combining them with exciting, fast paced gameplay and features new to the Battlefield scene. Within this mod you'll find yourself as a soldier of the Galactic Empire or as a freedom fighter for the Rebel Alliance. You'll fight across lovingly detailed recreations of various Star Wars locations with a wide array of weapons and vehicles.

Greetings Troopers!

In SFX magazine's latest Special Edition (#60: The A-Z of Sci-fi Movies), First Strike's very own TALON (Harold Withers) appears in a full page and a bit spread under the section for 'F' on Fanatics, in which he of course takes the time to plug First Strike.

Check out the article here, the interviewer did get a few of his facts wrong and misquoted me a few times, most crucially where he gives the impression that First Strike isn't even out yet, but it is still a fun article.

If this mod indeed supports bots and SP/COOP missions , you should update the side description that only talks about MP....
SP/COOP is a big thing for many (including myself) because bad Net connections and/or limited Net traffic band.
Gonna download it this night , BTW, please make all possible maps have bots for SP/COOP :D

And we are currently looking to expand our singleplayer & co-op output with some very exciting developments on that front currently in testing which should result in some new fan favourite maps to be added to the bot supported elite.
More news on that and other development news to come.
He I have slow connection speed too, and yes there is some SP support but it not has fun as MP!

I installed it a couple of days ago, I was wondering what days and times most of you guys are on? Cause the maps are to large for the number of bots. I signed up for the campaign last night. Thanks
Welcome to the mod, and the campaign Meanoldrep. You'll find us on mostly at the weekend as Twigs mentions below, especially on Sunday evenings during the campaign. Though hopefully we'll soon have the numbers once more to be able to have players come on at random times and still be able to play the mod together whenever they want.
With regards to the bots, an increased number can really make things interesting, and certainly more challenging. The space maps in particular can get a bit mental with a higher bot presence, so that is worth looking into.

We generally play at weekends, but both the Firststrike home site and rebel defiance site have dedicated threads to announce if you are heading on the servers. This can sometimes be enough to bring out another couple of players.
You can also increase the numbers of bots by editing one of the mods files. If you are unsure about doing this, I can increase the bots on the servers co-op maps to make it more challenging.
They sure do, there is single player and co-op bot support for a good number of the maps which gives a good and varied feel of what maps are available within the mod. Our server (Rebel Defiance) is currently running co-op maps so you can check them out, and then get all social when others join.
