First Strike is a Star Wars total conversion modification for Battlefield 2142. The goal of First Strike is to totally immerse the players into the amazing universe of Star Wars by presenting the most accurate representations of famous Star Wars locales, weapons, and characters, and combining them with exciting, fast paced gameplay and features new to the Battlefield scene. Within this mod you'll find yourself as a soldier of the Galactic Empire or as a freedom fighter for the Rebel Alliance. You'll fight across lovingly detailed recreations of various Star Wars locations with a wide array of weapons and vehicles.
One side will have to strike first, for that team will have the greatest advantage...or will it?

Hello everyone, yet another progress update for you. TALON has been slaving away lately attempting to produce for us a lore accurate layout for Echo Base which contained just enough detail to work well within our Battle of Hoth map. Included below is the floorplan with key that he has drawn up and has used as the basis for the first draft model of Echo Base which is already getting put through its paces with extensive in game testing.
Also, after our release of the AT-AT in game clip we've got a handful of complaints that the head seems too large. We'd like to comfort you in the knowledge that this was indeed just a matter of the camera perspective in the shots. Included below is a frontal render of the model to give you extra re-assurance. Expect to be hearing more about this beast and how it will operate in game in the near future.
Next, we'd like to thank the PC Gamer magazine in the UK for their glowing review of our mod. We hope to see a bit of an influx in our population in the coming weeks due to this. If you live in the UK and haven't already, grab a copy of PC Gamer and check it out. If you happen to live elsewhere, here is a copy of the article for you to take a peak at.

I want my 1.2 MOD OF FRIST STRIKE please
The modified content error is a known issue with 1.1, and it has to do with the version of server files the server you are trying to connect to is running. Try connecting to different servers, and if that doesn't work then I would suggest just waiting until tomorrow for the release of the 1.2 patch.
Thanks. Do I unstall the current version or just patch it with 1.2 tomorrow?
If you are planning on getting 1.2 tomorrow and not playing 1.1 you should just wait. We will only be posting one full patch which is around 1 gigabyte. If we did a patch from 1.1-1.2 it would be around 800 mb so it wasn't worth posting the small 200 mb difference.
I say make a new installer or else then you need to go though instaslling ver 1 then patching BF2142 patching FS mod then Repatching.
We will be releasing both a full install exe as well as an incremental patch, so download whichever one is easier for you.
Need Help!! When I load the map, an error messages says that I cannot have any modified content; revert back to original. I haven't done anything different. My patch is 1.4.
