First Strike is a Star Wars total conversion modification for Battlefield 2142. The goal of First Strike is to totally immerse the players into the amazing universe of Star Wars by presenting the most accurate representations of famous Star Wars locales, weapons, and characters, and combining them with exciting, fast paced gameplay and features new to the Battlefield scene. Within this mod you'll find yourself as a soldier of the Galactic Empire or as a freedom fighter for the Rebel Alliance. You'll fight across lovingly detailed recreations of various Star Wars locations with a wide array of weapons and vehicles.
With the Rebel Alliance growing stronger every day and the Empire spread thin as it is, it's no longer a battle of technological might, but simply a matter of who strikes first...

Greetings Troopers!
In SFX magazine's latest Special Edition (#60: The A-Z of Sci-fi Movies), First Strike's very own TALON (Harold Withers) appears in a full page and a bit spread under the section for 'F' on Fanatics, in which he of course takes the time to plug First Strike.
Check out the article here, the interviewer did get a few of his facts wrong and misquoted me a few times, most crucially where he gives the impression that First Strike isn't even out yet, but it is still a fun article.
Catch the magazine which is still on sale at all good newsagents for a nice fresh slice of First Strike in print, there are some nice free gifts included too so go out and grab a copy.

Yeah rebels have won but I have enjoyed one of the most epic matches ever! On Jundland wastes, Imperials 3 - Rebels 0 !!!
Aye, that was a good game alright, skin of the teeth results are always fun.
This weekend's matches are starting in about 15 minutes, see you on there.
In case any of you were wondering why they can't get on to the FSmod website, this is just due to it being down temporarily for maintenance, basically the service provider is shifting locations or something. Either way the website should be back up now, or if it isn't for you yet, it will just be a matter of time now for the new DNS to propagate, at which time your full First Strike service will return.
If this mod indeed supports bots and SP/COOP missions , you should update the side description that only talks about MP....
SP/COOP is a big thing for many (including myself) because bad Net connections and/or limited Net traffic band.
Gonna download it this night , BTW, please make all possible maps have bots for SP/COOP :D
Good point (I think someone else has mentioned this fact too). Anyhow. Done.
And we are currently looking to expand our singleplayer & co-op output with some very exciting developments on that front currently in testing which should result in some new fan favourite maps to be added to the bot supported elite.
More news on that and other development news to come.
He I have slow connection speed too, and yes there is some SP support but it not has fun as MP!
About an hour and a half to go before tonight's matches. Be prepared to go to war.
Mmm I think 20:00 it´s too soon for me to play on Sundays that´s a shame... I will try to be playing the last map at least.
