Podcast 1: Vision of Tiberian Dawn
Dec 10, 2007 Audio 0 commentsOur first ever podcast, back in July we had a discussion about our vision of how Tiberian Dawn would be implemented. We spoke of our plans and our hopes,...
"War... War never changes.
The reasons why we fight these wars remain much the same; some are fought to conquer, for religious and ideological beliefs, other wars are fought over gold, oil, spices – natural resources and money. Power is the key element.
This war is no different - except there's nothing natural about Tiberium.
The year is 1995 and we have just begun to open up our eyes to view a brave new future, some will come to say it's a horrific future.
It is the Dawn of the Tiberian future."

Tiberian Dawn is a total-conversion for the game Command & Conquer: Tiberium Wars. Our goal is to bring C&C1 to a new engine, with enhanced features and graphics while also bringing back much of the classic style of gameplay while not taking steps back from what C&C3 implemented in the series as gameplay features.
This is not of course our only goal - the idea of the total-conversion was inspired by an art piece by Godwin that showed the cruelty and bitter humanity of the Tiberian conflicts - of soldiers who were not only soldiers but men and women who were human, of environments that felt alive with their vibrancy.
We want to inject that into Tiberian Dawn. This same level of vibrant emotion, of humanity and struggle against a frightening opponent (Be it GDI or Nod in your mind) while trying to accept the changes to the world that Tiberium has brought.
It is not an easy task we have set ourselves - and we are all dedicated to working to the best of our abilities.
I encourage you to come participate in our official forums and read the rest of the news concerning Tiberian Dawn.

Welcome Back, Commander
It has been quite some time since our last Tiberian Dawn blog, and we have compiled new exciting things for you to drool over. These are just sneek peeks of the many things we have in store:

So many, in fact, that we felt it was far too much to put into just one blog. Because of this, we have started you off with the updates from a few weeks ago featuring our latest completed assets, and this blog will update you on what our development team has been up to, and focus on the concept art and Music that we have developed over the past several months. By the next blog, we should have an evolution of what you see here, plus a number of surprises. ^^

Only registered members can share their thoughts. So come on! Join the Mod DB community today (totally free) and do things you never thought possible.
sweet idea, I loved c&c1 and I still sometimes play it. Good luck and I hope u guys don't screw this up :-P
I'm looking forward to this aswell.
If it sticks to everything C&C1, it will be a great experience.
Are you guys going to remake Tiberiun Dawn and ONLY that?
Or will you add and change things?
We have addressed this many times, there will be both a classic mode which is designed in respect to the original game, and an enhanced mode which expands the mod to another level.
Which is epic, I love original remakes.
I mainly looking forward to singleplayer side
Great mod. I will download when done :)
I was wondering what happened to this lol nice to see its still alive and kicking ^^
Nice screenshots and reners, good work and keep it up! ^^
As far as I've heard, Campaign is in the works, but isn't the most concentrated part of the mod.
But it isn't entirely that difficult either, just mapping. ^^
You will also have to code and script things on a per map basis and do extensive testing to make sure all the code and scripts work as intended tho. ;)
