You will need a fresh install of original morrowind. Then install MSGO v3.0 going through the whole process, and installing updates if needed! Once finished... install Morrowind Rebirth v3.0 ontop of MSGO. Open the construction set... and load Rebirth and click save. This will put Rebirth at the bottom of the Data Files. Open the Menu of Morrowind on your desktop and click all the files in Data Files! Hit Play! (I even loaded more data files from my private collection like DN First Person Enhanced, Abot Animation Boat & Silt Striders - which you need to move some trees in Balmora and the Arched Rock by the bridge so they don't interfere with the animated Silt Strider!) MSGO will be your biggest step, once you get that install... it should be fairly easy to install Rebirth over the files.

Some Mods do work with Rebirth... like Better Bodies, Better Heads, and Better Clothes. MSGO v3.0 can work if replace the rebirth meshes and textures after MSGO. On the Rocks, Music Files, and Texture Replacers. Armor and Weapons mods work too if they are in barrels and do not add a Shop. Abot Animation Boats and Silt Striders work with a little modification in Balmora... etc. NPC's should work too!

This is a hard one! Where I believe Mods should be Free... and free to download and use and modify! I do think that some mods are worth paying for like MSGO v3.0 and other Total Conversions! Morrowind Rebirth is one of those mods that could benefit from a Donations Button! And even a payrate of $19.95! (Blowing Smoke!) I however, would never charge anyone for my broken WIP... in fact it even got banned on ModDB! So go figure...

I would like to see the gameplay changes in a separate .esm or .esp. But given to all the changes you have already made to vanilla morrowind, it would be a nightmare to compile. The cities could be made into a separate .esp but I really don't see the point. You are talking about dismantling the whole project and rebuilding it in separate .esp's.

I suggest using MSGO v3.0 and Tamriel Rebuilt. There is already a great video set on youtube by Sorcerer Dave using Rebirth v3.0 and TR latest update.

just type which cities you want in the search engine.

Until the meantime ...
You can use the following Cheat Commands:

God - All Health
Give Bow
Give Ancestral Sword
Give Crossbow
Give Blunderbuss
Give Three Barrel Flintlock
Give Shovel
Give Cannon Balls

Just spand the numeric keypad 1-9 for a full list of missing weapons. And use the Give command in the ` (slide) key by the 1 numeric key to pull down the console to give yourself weapons.

Quick Walk-Through -

And remember the Dialog Tree is easly broken if not followed in a specific manner - use the Arrow Keys to go through the Menu Options and the Enter Key to choose Dialog Topics. Remember to talk to the Cell Prisoners first, and you will have to return atleast two to three times to talk to the prisoners before you can leave the level. Cho the Thief holds the Riddle to leave the level, if you have the coin. All Characters have multiple responses and sometimes two menu options so Click On Them Often ... there is a ton of dialog. Then find the Azna Prestess for healing, Busta in Courtyard to start the Quest, then the Cook, the Kids (can you find the bread?) hidden throughout the level, find the Comberry Bush, Busta's Ingerent, and the Boarded-up Study with a secret accces in the Sewers. Find the Kids in the Dungeon, Libary, and Locked Rooms. The Mute Boy is in a locked room at the top of the keep, if you can find the Darkened Door in the Hallway (hint look for the light on the floor.) Find the Priest of Manaywd, and kill the Guards! Open the Manaywd Temple of Azna, kill Moktar the Priest - if you can catch him! And find the Gated Exit ... to leave for the Village of Elvod. Can you ride a Camle ... why are there no Horses?

Cheers!

The tree in the courtyard in the Keep needs to be removed, and replaced either with the Barracks or Horses and Stable. There is no need to build the walls around the tree.

Ebonheart still has problems in my opinion. The wall behind the tavern needs to be deleted, and the tavern moved by the steps, with a front view of the well. The training area can be moved by the prison door. The wall around Ebonheart should be extended to add more floorspace to the Mission Plaza and the Dragon Plaza. There is really no need for a moat around the enterance when very little of it is used. I would still add Merchant Buildings to the Dragon Plaza.

Have you ever noticed how the interior of the temple does not match the exterior building. Now this happens a lot in Morrowind. However, in Suran the temple does match the dome style upon entering the interior. So, should the temple in Balmora be changed to match the exterior?

I think the well and adobe house should be moved to allow free access to the river. I know a lot of players like to swim in the river. And the waterfall outside the city, should be free flowing from a cave on top of the mountain. Instead of capped off by a sewer drain and building. The bridge leading into the city should be redone, instead of poles and lamps, which look really bad. There should be either be a docks for a ship or replace the island that was there before.

This is Interesting! But a lot of the functionality is already implemented in the original Morrowind game! Like head tracking, hot keys, new splash screens, new animations, and rendering extra cells through MGEXE and MGSO v3.0! The only difference I see, is that this will be Open Source with Code!

Morrowind Rebirth v3.0 is the latest version for downloading. It is not that difficult to install mods, once you get the hang of it. Make sure you are using WinZip, 7zip, or PeaZip! To open the packaged file!

Once you have installed GOTY edition to the default directory, usually ...

C:Program Files/Bethesda Softworks/Morrowind

then you install Morrowind Rebirth v3.0 to a separate folder you must create something like ...

C:My Documents\Morrowind Mods or C:My Games\Morrowind Mods

Unzip the file named Morrowind Rebirth v3.0 in the folder you have created!

Once the files are unzipped, Copy and Paste the Data Files folder in Morrowind Rebirth into the main directory C:Program Files/Bethesda Softworks/Morrowind/Data Files... let the file copy and replace all files by clicking YES when prompted to do so!

Once the File Copying is complete... Click on the Morrowind Icon on your screen... and select Data Files from the main menu! Make sure Morrowind Rebirth is X in the box! Then click Play!

(The utiliity to unzip files is usually WinZip, 7zip, or Peazip!) MW Rebirth is an All-In-One file that is meant to played alone. Searching the web you will find thousands of mods that change morrowind, but not all are compatible.

Thanks
Eric

It was at the smith in caldera! I got steel armor half price, just by lowering the coin amount. And it happen again at the three coin trader by the orc. I have never used the barter plus and minus feature before, always paid full price, so it could be apart of the original game.

Did you change the barter and mercantile rates to the merchants in Caldera? Because I can buy armor and weapons at almost half price by lowering the barter coin amount in the window! I don't remember it being so easy before... and I'm playing a new game with a level 1 character.

The Bug Report Page is missing! After purchasing the Silver Short Sword at Arille's Tradehouse. I was attacked by a kwama worm outside the gates, and couldn't land a hit with silver sword at all. Luckily, the guard came and killed it! In Ebonheart, I borrowed a Imperial Sword from a wooden crate... and was chased by another kwama worm to the keep, and was able to strike the worm and kill him, with the help of the Duke Guard! I know you changed the stats to all weapons... but the Silver Sword couldn't land a hit at all! Worm Wins!

Red Mountain sounds interesting! Very little has been done to the mountain in community mods, except adding higher rocks! (Forgot the name of the mod!) I'm curious as to what you have planned? Under the Mountain?

Hope you will tackle "Mournhold" as well! It remains in an interior cell, and really deserves an overhaul, with an exterior landmass. And Solstheim, which has remained untouched except texture replacers and Wolf of Lokken Mountan, that is available on the internet.
